Is my DVD drive taking weed?

Ever since I bought my laptop (Dell Inspiron 6400) I have been really satisfied with it.... until recently. Whenever I try to burn or even place a disk in the DVD drive, the computer goes into this slow motion time just like people taking weed, the mouse pointer moves slowly and everything happens in slow motion. The burning time jumps from 8 minutes to 1 hr. So anyone knows what the hell is wrong?

I had the same problem. If you bring your laptop to your local police station, they will confiscate all psychoactive products from your laptop and it should work normally again.

If your laptop gets slower when it takes weed, try giving it stim packs to increase burning speed

Slow motion when taking weed? Im not sure what you are smoking, but its definately not weed.

My inspiron 6400 has no problems with that. Has this problem been happening since you bought it or did it just start happening?

Sigh, you don't 'take' weed; you smoke it. Weed doesn't make you slow, being slow makes you slow. Most of the people who act retarded when they smoke weed are just that....retarded. In regards to your dvd drive, i suggest getting new burning software or hittin the tech forums for better advice.

check the transfer mode used by your DVD drive

right click my computer->hardware->devices manager (or something like that)->hard disc controller->primary and secondary IDE channels (probably secondary)

I think you should have "DMA mode 5" (you prbably have "PIO") - google for answers, perhaps you can even change it manually if your DVD drive allows that.

Perhaps install a new version od nero too
