As a few of may know, I've been trying to hit B on iCCup this season, with no success. i've dropped ranks, gone up, then gone back down and so on.
I'm at C+, with 5 consecutive losses atm, 4 from terrans alone.
anyway, the point is, with SC II's release coming closer and closer, if anyone else feels the same as I do:
Trying to get better at SC has no point, and I should wait for SC II.
I usually only feel this way if i'm on a losing streak, or i've been absolutely smashed in a game. of course, this thought is followed by "yeah, i'll just quit competitive sc, and just be a ums whore until SC II's release", but it's quickly erased when YOU smash someone, or is on a winning streak.
So, any thoughts? do you feel the same?

Fuck waiting for SC2, just continue pushing for B and beyond. That will give you a lot more satisfaction than screwing around in UMS.

Quite the opposite for me. I started playing competitive SC after SC2 was announced. I figured that I might as well work on my multitasking before SC2 comes out, but instead I fell back in love with SC ;_;. It's too soon to tell but I'm not even sure if I'll move on to SC2 when it comes out.

Wow, Kletus, that's my story exactly.
Mainly the feeling I get on losing streaks is that "everyone's played more than me, I can never catch up, and I've hit my limit I can't possibly do any better." But right when I get a few wins (I just went on a 5 game win streak and broke into D+ for the first time. Yay!) all those feelings go away.
Not exactly the same but yeah, losing streaks will mess with you.

Meh, whenever i go on a losing streak, i just go on bnet and stomp a few noobs to regain my confidence  , but yeah, i started playing again because of SC2 and decided i wanted to be competitive for the arrival of SC2

Yeah if you look up my iccup account (sig) I just had a losing streak. Just got nasty luck =P The games I lost were against 2 koreans and people that play Z. (I hate ZvZ). But that doesn't get me down. I'm planning to start iccup back up in an hour or so and do ~10 games again.

To hell with SC2. If there will be no need for 300 APM which you will develop in those three years before it is published in SC2 than you will stick with BW Anyway --
