For those of you who played Tales of Symphonia for the game cube and loved it, you'll be as ecstatic as I am to learn that there's a sequel! Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk for the Wii will come out on November 18th in the US, while already released in Japan. After watching a couple of the trailers and clips, I'd say the sequel looks promising. It revolves mainly around two protagonists, Emil and Marta.
The one thing I'm at odds with is the fact that the new main protagonist, Emil, completely differs from the image set by Lloyd in the original ToS. While Lloyd develops from a brash, young hothead into a strong idealist, Emil is shown to be a rather weak and cowardly character who would go to any lengths to obtain power.
Some good news is that all of the main cast from the original ToS will return, except for Kratos. I'm not sure whether these characters will join you, fight you, both, or stay as NPC's. I do know there's going to be a new cast.
This is the best subtitled trailer I found for the game. You can find a bunch of clips (mostly pure japanese) on youtube.
