A few days ago, I got off the 30th Street Train Station and was on my way to my college orientation when SUDDENLY, I caught a glimpse of this guy's shirt...I couldn't believe my eyes, it was the TEAMLIQUID SHIRT!!!!!! Now this guy was obviously a student at Drexel or UPenn, probably Penn. He was a skinny asian (of course ^^) of medium height and was listening to his ipod as I stood gaping at him. Not noticing me,or pretending to, he briskly walked past me as I continued to stare at him as if he was the most fascinating creature I had ever seen.
Now being the embarrassing person that I am, I would have have instantly jumped on him like a giggling boxer fangirl, but I was too stunned because I had NEVER expected to see ANYONE wearing a Teamliquid shirt.
Looking back, I regret just standing there like a dazed newb. I would have loved to acquire a new RL starcraft friend. =(
(maybe he'll see this blog ^^) I have a hunch its evanthebouncy =O

lol, evan in china right now and he goes to uc berkeley, i've met him!
don't worry, the person will most likely reply here oh man, that is so cool XD
edit: now I need to wait for batch 2 so I can wear it sometimes and hope some random teamliquidian spots me and is like whoaa
|
I went to school/now work and live in Filthadelphia, have a teamliquid shirt, and frequent the train system.
But.. I am neither skinny nor Asian.
Not I. But still cool.
|
Maybe you should buy a Teamliquid shirt too and next time hope he's around so you both can giggle like school girls ^_^

I wore my KTF shirt without realizing it when i went to korean bbq place and got filthy looks from these 20 somethings.
|
Considering how many members TL has, it was bound to happen some time. You just happen to be the lucky one to witness it! And yeah, Evan's in China right now. Would be cool (and somewhat wtf) if it really was him though
|
WAIT, you saw me?
And didn't say hi?
+ Show Spoiler +Just kidding, but thats awesome. I doubt I'll see anyone around here with a TL shirt. Partly because I don't go out much. ^_^

If he was wearing his TL shirt in public do you really think he's that conncerned with his privacy?

Why filthy looks?

You just have to say "lim yo hwan" or some shit you don't have to go jump on him. Geez. One in a lifetime opportunity you missed there.

That description sounds an awful lot like klogon. I'm not sure if he owns a TL shirt, though...
|
Inspiring. I'm gonna go into central London tomorrow sporting the shirt in all its glory. Maybe I should do a few runs down in Koreatown and/or Chinatown for maximum chance of recognition? Hmmm... I will report back on my inevitable failure.
|
Wasn't there a blog / thread by someone requesting help of transfering VODs to his iPOD some time ago so he can watch them while traveling? I remember he later blogged about it's success, even. It may be your guy?
|
now where is that picture thread for you.. someone with a tl shirt probably would've taken the time out to post one hmm
|
I plan to buy one of the new TL shirts whenever they come out and wear it around campus. I would probably be pretty shocked if I saw somebody else wearing one. But it would be cool.
|
|
One in a million bro, all well.
|
My Teamliquid shirt has these black stains that I can't get out. ]:
|
I'm at Penn as well but I'm not asian and I don't own a TL shirt either.
|
lmfao, that was me.
And btw, im not a student at drexel or upenn, i'm just a high school student doing some work at upenn's hospital.
that's pretty awesome though, lol that was the first time someone actually noticed me for wearing my tl shirt in public :o
where were you when you saw me?
|
OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw you on market street, I walking away from 30th train station.
PM me your info and lets be BFFs!!!!!!

That's a pretty ridiculous story.
Mine, which is almost ridiculous, is in some live tourney thread I mentioned the internet at OSU or something, and OrderlyChaos mentioned he went to OSU also.
Through some communication, we discovered that out of 60,000 students, we were living in the same residence hall two floors apart :O
I don't think Ohio is a hotbed for SC though, so I guess there's my 1 and I'll never see anyone again who knows about it.
However, once while in the library I was watching some SC games and heard Koreans muttering behind me in surprise about how I was watching SC There are a lot at my school, they probably wouldn't recognize a TL.net shirt but I guess I should wear my iron on KTF shirt they';; recognize that. Though I might get dirty looks...
|
Wow ancestral, that is insanely huge coincidence.
I'm still freaking out that I found that mysterious asian TL shirt wearer. =O
BTW if anyone else lives in Philly, and would like to meet up to chill and chat about sc, or better yet, get together for a lan party, feel free to PM me. =)
|
Lan party would be great, I had no idea there were so many people in this area, I always felt I was in some strange starcraft deprived world. There are 2-3 people within a half an hour of me, I'm up closer to reading area though. If anyone knows of any lan centers they should definatly PM me or storm snarlx maybe we can get something going!
|
this sorta makes me want to buy a TL shirt...
|
Lol me too. Just on the off chance that I find someone to talk sc with
|
HEY! your in philly too!?!? klogon isnt here yet, still in oregon or washington :p
oh apparently you found out who it was..har har!
|
allowicious hasn't pmed me yet. T.T I'm sad.
|
|
Aw, so cute.
Maybe you two can go on a double date with Jathin and me? We met last week and now he moved to Baltimore and broke my heart =[

Huh, I used to live nearby (Paoli/Malvern, Chester County). But that was when I was still lurking. I miss Philly sometimes, esp. Philly cheese steaks 'wit' - hmmmm.
The other night I met a couple of people and I was wearing my MBC Jacket. There was one Korean girl and she asked if MBC is something like Arirang. That is the closest I came to being recognized.

no one lives in Houston tx T.T

I do live in Houston TX xDD

Sucks for you.
Here you can freely copy anything as long as it is only for personal use by you or your close friends and relatives. Too bad the content industry made an incredible job in spreading FUD so even most Germans don't know it's perfectly legal to copy for your own use.
