The most ridiculous story I've heard like this is a man who was at the Ohio State Fair three years ago with his prized rabbits also brought his dog, and when the dog killed some of his rabbits he beat it to death in front of huge crowds of people. I wish some had just grabbed him and ground his face into the pavement. for the rabbits, but I don't think they wanted revenge that badly. And if you own rabbits and dogs, one would think you'd be a responsible owner of both hopefully, instead of neither.

I have a real problem with people that put up crosses where someone/something gets killed by a car. Whats so specail about car accidents? Why do they warrant a cross at the location of death where as nothing else does? Its public domain, not your property.

Because I've always felt that when a child loses a pet sympathy and a bit of understanding is in order.

I have always thought that the memorials erected when a person is killed in a traffic accident serve as sober reminders about the dangers of reckless driving. The nature of the memorial - flowers, signs, crosses - is really irrelevant as long as someone takes a look and realizes, "Oh, someone died at this stop light," and maybe that makes that person buckle up or makes them slow down just a bit. And maybe that saves a life?

Maybe when your Fluffy or your drunk uncle Bob gets flattened at some intersection, you'll come back here and think, 'Hey, maybe I should be a little sympathetic instead of being a shithead next time!'
