I figured it'd be kiddy-ish and stupid but I gave it a chance anyways. The first season actually wasn't too bad at all. And then the 2nd season started, and it totally kicked it up a notch. This show is fucking great! I am on the 3rd season now and I think this officially might be my favorite anime, and I have watched many. (if it counts as an anime). When I watched the trailer/commerical for this show I thought to myself that it sucked hard. But now travis says its good. . . Maybe I should actually try and watch a few episodes. Is it really good? | ||

it's fun, sometimes for unintended reasons. it's nothing great if you compare it to anime, although they do a pretty decent job with the fighting choreography | ||

what i immediately noticed was the fluidity of the characters' motions in fights. i fell in love with it, and caught up on everything. the characters were great, with their own distinct role, and youll grow to love and hate them. my favorite is easily toph. :D and if you read the wiki article on the show, itll mention how each element is represented by a certain form of martial art. The creators use Bagua for airbending, Hung Gar for earthbending, Northern Shaolin for firebending, and Tai Chi for waterbending.[19] The only exception to this is Toph, who employs a Chu Gar Southern Praying Mantis style.[31] i was a little surprised that no one made a thread after the finale last week, but tl.net has always been a little slow on stuff like this... | ||

book 2 - earth book 3 - fire and that should be the last one, although theres been some speculation that there might be one-hour specials later on. theres talks of a live action trilogy though | ||
