Faust's Food Week One Sunshine Potatoes in a Blanket
Hello Teamliquidians. As it is summer and my parents both work hard at their jobs, I notice less and less food appearing on my plate for Breakfast as well as Dinner. However, it is now at the point that my Mother is not doing her job as a mother and there is no food at all for any meals while she is at home. I am currently unemployed, barely passing school, and I do not really leave my house. This is the perfect concoction of excellence, which made me realize, "Hey, why don't I make food!?"
It is now within my hobby (starting today) to make my own food instead of starve and wait for Dinner anywhere from two to three days apart. Never having Lunch has been a normal thing for me, because no parents are home during that time so rarely I nuke some burritos or just skip it. But now it is time to put my skills to good use and feed myself. I present to you the first food that I have made ALL BY MYSELF:
Sunshine Potatoes in a Blanket'
Ingredients: 3x Potatoes Lots of Butter 3x Slices of Cheddar Cheese Squares Lots of Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Lots of Salt
How to Cook: 1. Slice open the potatoes down the middle! 2. Cut a slice of butter and stuff it down in each of the potatoes. The slice of butter should probably be as big as your pinky finger. 3. Pour some shredded mozzarella cheese or any other form of shredded cheese into the middle of the potatoes. Make sure it overflows the potato. 4. Pour a lot of salt onto the potato. 5. Lay a cheddar cheese square on top of each of the potatoes, and make sure it says. 6. Microwave your potatoes on HIGH for 2 minutes and 30 seconds so that the cheddar cheese square is melted and you cannot pick it off the potato. If any cheese fell onto the plate, it should be a brown-golden color indicating it has been nuked. If not, put the potatoes back in for 30 seconds. Rinse and repeat. 7. Eat.
Caution: May cause a heart-attack
Here are some pictures of my delicious meal:
A beautiful view with a candle, ready for a romantic dinner.
Close up view. Notice the brown-golden spots on the plate!
This meal is approved by my cat.

And faust, are the potatoes cooked when you microwave them with the cheese? I don't think two minutes is enough to really 'cook' the potatoes from scratch.

By not making me food for dinner.
Edited so it doesn't sound as confusing.
By the way, I have no clue I just found three potatoes in my refridgerator and cooked them for 2:30 and they were warm and delicious. I do not have the background information of the potatoes.

imo pb&j from pony express owns this.
|
No background information on the potatoes? Ok. I'll do what I can.
I assume either 1. you have a really really strong microwave or 2. they were already cooked.
Takes me about 4:52 to get my potatoes cooked well enough in the microwave from scratch.
I'll make some of this now I guess.

I fed my cat the cheese that was stuck on the plate.

Speaking of PB&J I made a massive post on teamshock forums about that very sandwhich type. Maybe sometime I'll copy paste it here.
Edit: Damn. My mom just got done cooking dinner so I will have to do it later.

your cat is adorable. i will make the food jus tbecause of the cat.

Looks good but so much salt is bad for you. Besides, the flavor should already be coming from the cheese and butter (both of which already have salt in it, unless you use saltless butter). But then again, that's just my preference. The food my parents cook have always used very little salt or flavorings, the delicious flavor coming from the actual food itself.

Wow, your username, and you talking about delicious flavor just don't go together.
|
Tasty.
The potato things look alright too~

The cheese on those potatoes looks really fucking disgusting.
But thumbs up on your idea to pick up cooking, it's really a good one. Also, barring the obvious advantages, the ladies love a man who can cook.
Good luck and bon appétit!

That cheese looks absolutely noxious. Looks like you melted pieces of a poncho on your potatoes. You also definitely need to cook potatoes for longer than 2 mins. You should pre-cook them, then add the cheese and put them back in.

I guess on the bright side it can be a cheap alternative for cat food.

cheese on potatoes is good.
also be careful when you microwave potatoes, the inside gets incredibly fucking hot and it says hot for a while.

hmm..ive always had a thing for potatoes

Well make what you want, but I agree it's not appealing to me.
