I quickly checked through my film list to see which films I rated 9/10 when I was still really into films, so here they are: Closer Fight Club Kids Requiem for a Dream Romeo + Juliet 2046 Amores Perros Dare mo Shiranai Le Fabeleux destin d'Amelie Poulain Shiza looking at those films, I'll probably have to list the films I rated 8 as well, since the difference between an 8 film and a 9 film was always slightly more personal: 12 Angry men A Clockwork Orange American History X Barfly Hotel Rwanda Kill Bill vol. 1 Lost in Translation Magnolia Natural Born Killers Pi Reservoir Dogs The Aviator The Man who wasn't There The Straight Story Waking Life Banlieue 13 Chinjeolhan geumjassi (Sympathy for Ms. Vengeance) Cidade de Dues Kontroll Salo or the 120 days of Sodom (only watch this if you're in the mood for some self-torture. I always recommend The Good, The Bad and The Ugly as well, really great western as well. Also if you like action: All Dirty Harry movies and the terminator movies. | ||

so you like movies about disfunctional schizoids? try "as good as it gets" but it isnt so dark as the movies you wrote, is a little bit funny. any movie with edward northon on it has something related to that kind of movies too. daigomi, impressed, good taste too. i really love 12 angry men, amores perros, kids and magnolia, and a lot other movies in your list, gonna search those i havent seen yet. id like to second: Closer, Ciudad de Dios (City of God). and instead of Lost in Translation I'd watch the movies that Sofia Coppola ripped off from: Chungking Express and Fallen Angels. can't wait to watch the movies i haven't seen from that list. | ||
