For me at least. I didn't have a girlfriend, but a girl whom I thought was truly my close friend (and I liked her secretly) basically used me o.O But after like a few months, I didn't care about that bitch any more...:x

Besides, nothing lasts forever. Not even love. You think you love a person so much right now, and if that person doesn't love you back, you go on for three months alone without thinking about them, and then you will begin to not care about them. Therefore it's not love. Same situation with me. I really really liked a girl, and she was one of my best friends. But recently for some reason she stopped talking to me. So in the beginning I was like WTF, and i always miss her. But two weeks have passed by without any contact, and slowly I begin to lose my feelings for her.

He is asking "how do you know you're out of it" not how to get out of it. Read his questions lol ~~

What you are, is obsessed. You'll know when you're no longer obsessed with someone when you become obsessed with something else (because you won't think about the other person).

If you have to ask, you no longer are in love not true at all. i thought i was over someone. I didn't spend much time with them for about 2 months. The first 2 weeks were brutal. the 2nd 2 weeks were tough. but around the 6th-8th weeks, i wasn't in pain anymore. I thought that was the key. I didnt think about him much, i didn't miss him all that much, and i wasn't in pain. and then i spent some time some extra time with him, prolly about 4 hours or so, and at that moment it was all back again. i'd do anything for him, be anyone for him, change anything i could... awarenss of your feelings =/= feelings.
