Actually, to be even be more blunt. Every time I see one of my friends, our group inside joke is that hes a pedo. Why? Because, he was dating a 15 year old girl while he was 20(even if it legal for you to date her at 16 over there, its still odd for you to being something like that). Which is against the law in Florida. You wouldn't be an exception to the ruthless jokes. Again, I'm not trying to be mean. But, the reality is if I knew you IRL I would crack jokes on you about being a pedo. | ||

If her parents do mind, wait two years and win the parents over; if there is love, it will be just as fine 2 years from now. That's what I was thinking too but how is he gonna be like "Yeah, let's stop dating for two years." He's sort of already in the thick of it, a "break" isn't realistic. | ||

Why did it have to be right then, when you know she's vulnerable, you know her brain isn't even fully developed yet, you know shit's gonna be weird? I mean, if you knew a girl when she was 14 and thought she was kinda clever, and 4 years later she's fully developed more or less, and you still like her, doesn't that save all the fuss? Why can't you just let a kid be a kid? That's why you get weird looks, and people hate on you. I won't say you're a bad person. Everyone does stupid shit, everyone has confusing feelings at times in their lives. I'd just like to know that in retrospect, you might have done things differently. That you maybe learned something from the experience =/ | ||

i understand you a strong person, you do what you want, dont conform, i get it. but do you really want to have that rep? think about how limited you will be in the future when all the girl that you're trying to pick up can think of is you tryna fuck her little sister. you gotta think about he long run because in a year or so shes going to mature (slightly) and change, and when that happens you two might not stay together. when that happens not even one of those thing of your negative list will be worth it. Theres a very good chance you could go to jail as well if your are really open about your sexual relationship. i believe the laws are anything under 16 is a no-no and if shes 16 or 17 you cant be more than 2 years older or its illegal. 9 year is pushing it. i dont even think the issue is that you are 9 years older, its that she is 16. thats 3 years older than 13.  shes way to young. i think its gross frankly. | ||

But, I'm a very honest person(I could have said, "Oh yeah man, I hope everything works out, blah, blah, blah, but my reaction towards this is the one I would have IRL too). That type of stuff really doesn't fly with me. If I remember reading the last blog, the father didn't approve. If I was the father, I wouldn't approve either. I don't want to try to sound like a jack ass, but come on man. She's still a young girl, and hes an adult. Even if you're kind of in the same boat, I wouldn't agree for to do so as well(you would have been like our friend we make fun of). Honestly, ahrara_ nothing against you or anything, its just the way I feel, and would react IRL. :-/ EDIT: I would say though, my behavior in this subject is not the right one(making fun of people doing these things). | ||

You don't need to worry about what other people think, but you do need to worry that she cares about what other people think. You also need to worry that what she thinks is some ideal fantasy like what Scorpion gets out of the 3rd graders he dates. 26 year old women still do it, I'm sure most 16 year olds do it even more. My guess is you're already thinking these things, because I don't think you're the type that lets other peoples' judgments affect you when you think it's the right person. It may be that you're questioning whether it's the right person. And did you actually make that list because I'm pretty sure that only happens in bad Jennifer Aniston movies. | ||
