http://www.teamliquid.net

As amazing as this is.
Koreans have KeSPA website that pretty much does most of the features as TLPD. I think most of them will just use that.
But this 안내 is really nicely written.
EDIT: OH FUX NEVER MIND THEY DON'T HAVE VODS LOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Zomg. That's fantastic snowbird. I don't read korean but from the screenshots I can guess what stuff you described and I think it's great. I don't know if you can post this on some korean forums yourself, but that'd be <3.
L2W: KeSPA's site is quite bleh to be honest. afaik they don't have detailed map stats, league stats, they don't have filter options (other than players), VODs, etc. I think ygosu's database is far closer actually. But TLPD's still more useful/intuitive/featureful in my opinion (I'm probably extremely biased though ahah), so imho it's worth giving it a try and ask them how they'd like a full korean version of it.
Well, ideally we'd just point out what the TLPD does and ygosu/KeSPA don't. If I compile a little list, could you translate it and add it to your article before submitting it snowbird?
In any case, thanks a ton again.
P.S. : btw, seems like there's a little glitch with the page navigation buttons (just above the tables, the thing with "<< < [page number] > >>") on your comp. Could you tell me which browser you use?

TLPD > KeSPA KeSPA has a great db (full official game list), but a godawful interface. The backend may very well be a text file instead of an actual db, since pretty much all you can do with it is get a list of a player's games.
ygosu's db has a much better interface than KeSPA's (and a better game list), but still not as intuitive as TLPD's. However, it's close enough that the Koreans probably won't care about TLPD. =/
Do you know when ygosu's db came out? Their betting thing only goes back to October.

No fucking way. This is unbelievable, way to go Snowbird, this is so good for TL.

I'm actually wondering whether ygosu's DB got inspiration from the TLPD. Tons of things are extremely similar. -_-
It's really good I must say. Bob might be right that Koreans might not care too much about the TLPD since they have something more than decent already.
I'm compiling a list of stuff we have and they don't have right now. (But there's also some stuff they have that we don't, esp the current leagues' brackets--we need this btw).

wow! Great job on the ad!
So basically TL is not only the "top foreign pro-sc fansite", but also just "top pro-sc fansite"? omg, we pwn! ^^ At least PoP and snowbird do.

Maybe you could integrate ITW's progaming music thread into TLPD.

As similar as the reports section may be between TLPD and YGDB, how else could you organize them that still shows the same information without it being similar?

I went to sleep as soon as I finished this, just woke up and gotta go to language class now so I'll be back later. You guys could recommend forums I could post this on. I don't know that many Korean sites, I have accounts on Fomos, Fighterforum and DCInside. But I noticed that most of these Forums don't have that many hits and have a pretty low post count, so I don't know how much exposure a simple thread would get. Maybe we could consider e-mailing some of the Fomos/FighterForum staff guys? I dunno.

Two of the "weird" things I've noted: 1. On some of their tables they use the exact same labels for the column headers; not only the same, but in English, while most of their stuff is in Korean (ex. their game list, although their league list for inst. have korean header labels) ; 2. Their "all" search displays the 5 first results of each category, with the full number of results for each on the left, and a link to the category-specific results on the right... just like we do. 3. etc.
These might be pure coïncidences but I'm quite skeptical. Not that I really care though, I'd even be quite flattered if they did get inspiration from the TLPD.
snowbird > I'll post here again as soon as I've finished compiling the list I was talking about. Thanks again.

i just noticed that we have the problem that our VOD function is technically illegal, so i doubt we can advertise this on fomos or fighterforum, since these are commercial sites. i made a post on DCInside (site where koreans get their vods) and the thread got deleted some time during the day, not sure why, but i guess because they don't allow this kind of advertisement? so hmm, seems like there is nothing much we can do especially since ygosu got their own database kind of thing.

pgr21 is the best way to go, but you need to get in contact with someone like Waxangel who has access to post topics (I think).

interesting...i've change and change from ff windows to ff windows...i have no idea of korean so google helped me but after reading the translation, i know you did such a good work.
you'll put it on some korean site? that'd be great. GL ^^!
