i noticed that when they show player's screens, it's rather slow, compared to my first impressions. I hear Boxer's APM is ridiculous, and most players' seemed about 2/3 speed. anyone know boxer's APM? or Who has the highest, or where we can find average APM statistics for each player?

273 against Rekrul . But that might be different from regular games.

I think NaDa is one of the fastest, somethings reaching 400 APM in games. Just search for NaDa FPVODs on youtube.

As far as I've seen- Nada and Casy I'm not sure about the third and on. It seems terrans in general have a higher APM.. of course they're more dependant on speed.

Personally, I thought zergs need the highest apm. Quite a few C terrans get by with 130, while most D+ zergs push 200.

Sorry to divert but can I quickly ask are there any pros who go under 150 or even 100?

I think under 200 would be quite unusual; I've never heard of it. Low 200's is on the lower end for progamers, but those ones have a relatively high percentage of useful actions. All the super-high APM players like G.s)KyO have mass mass hotkey percentage, over what is useful.

Boxer is usually high 200s to low 300s. He is actually somewhat slower than your average pro terran which is mid 300s
NaDa and Casy are usually high 300s to mid 400s. I'd say 380-450. Last time I saw the apm comparison between the two was at Shinhan Masters where iirc NaDa was like 390 and Casy 450.

sAviOr, during his period of dominance, was only doing around 220. Not too many actions needed when he's got perfect clicks.

Yeah, although I vaguely recall ELIZA, who retired recently, was a demonically high apm zerg?

Correct me if I'm wrong but, although Boxer's APM is only mediocre compared to other progamers, it's his mouse hand's speed/accuracy is what's supposed to be insane. There's a reason why he's known for his unbelievable micro.

SigrUn is right.
Boxer never was really fast, although years ago he was among the fastest ones, but the general level of skill was of course much lower than it is today.
Boxer sometimes gets really good APM peaks, though. I remember a short, old FPVOD of him where he got 600 APM during a short time.
On average though, I think even Savior is faster than him, and Savior is already quite slow with his 250-350.

In very early replays it seems 170 was pretty much considered really fast.

In his recent osl match against Savior, Jaedong averaged around 450 and peaked at around 520. Insane.

Wasn't there a July game where he average 414 and peaked 812?

Also, like others have said, Boxer is a lower APM player.

^ is right. he has very, very fast mouse speed, other terrans have higher apm due to hotkey selection.

pro_nt.junitoss used to be quite fast as well iirc

It'd be pretty useless in my opinion because APM doesn't matter that much, it's how effective you use the non-spam actions.

It's the general policy of this forum to avoid bumping 1 month old topics with posts that don't bring anything that valuable to the topic. Just for future reference [: This is adhered to more strictly in the more serious sections of the forum.

Below 150...I believe some foreign semi-pros are around that, but under 100...no never. I forgot who said it, but I believe Nada (or some other korean pro) said that you need to have at least 120apm in order to multitask efficiently in this game.
