Just because someone sings a song you identify with does not automatically make it an "amazing song". OMG A SONG THAT APPLIES TO LIFE!? WOW LIFE? NOTHING EVER APPLIES TO LIFE THIS IS SO AMAZING I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!! Btw Hi RebelHeart. Perhaps you are not familiar with personal opinion? Gidday.

Chapman has released 16 studio albums, more than 20 albums total in his career, including two Christmas albums, several collections of greatest hits, and a live album. He has sold more than nine million total albums (including two certified Platinum albums, seven certified Gold albums) and had 45 #1 Christian radio hits.[4] Chapman's proficiency at the GMA Music Awards (51 career awards) led to a memorable quote at the 1999 Song of the Year presentation, where Darrell Waltrip, the triple NASCAR Nextel Cup Series champion, asked three-time Dove winner Kathy Troccoli if she could relate to the experience of a driver who has tuned his car to perfection, driving well, only to be blown away by another driver who leaves everyone in the dust to steal the win. The songstress responded, "We know the feeling, Darrell. It happens to us every time Steven Curtis Chapman releases a new album!" ...You might say just because he's won awards doesn't mean he writes good songs. Well just because you disagree with my opinion of his music doesn't mean he writes bad songs.

Sometimes I wonder how much He knew. Of all the things His love would put Him through. Did He ever pass a tree along His way. And know it was the very tree He'd die upon someday? Refrain 1: And if He did, did His heart break, Every time He passed it on the street? I wonder if He ever thought, "That tree I made will be....The death of me." Oh, the irony of His carpentry, Did it serve as a reminder of His legacy? And did He bear it constantly? Building with the nails that tore His body? Refrain 2: And if He did, did His heart break, Every time the metal broke the beam? I wonder if He ever thought, "A nail like this will be...the death of me." Well, I may never know what crossed His mind, but there's one more question hanging on inside. Did He ever think of me? Two thousand years somewhere across the sea? Refrain 3: And if He did, did His heart break, Even though He died so willingly? I wonder if He ever thought, "My love for her will be...the death of me."
