Note - many of these points are transferable to pretty much any foreigner who has made youtube videos about brood war. Except for Artosis he's a cool guy.
1. His voice. I'm starting with this cause it's the most obvious offense. He has this weird voice that bounces between sounding like a regular person - the rarest manifestation of his voice - to sounding like fucking sheldon from big bang theory where he heavily over ennunciates things - like any time he says the word "click" I want to hang myself - to sounding like a fucking 13 year old boy saying something as loud as he possible can. His voice is annoying, the way he enunciates is annoying, he ends up dragging words out really really long at a really high pitch and really high volume, he repeats himself so much it makes you want to shoot yourself and he's really over zealous about framing his points like questions to the point where it just comes off as him being a condescending asshole.
2. his microphone. For some fucking reason he has had his cheap ass desktop microphone in the same fucking spot for 20 god damn years or something cause you go back and watch his early videos and its the same exact shit. his mic is litterally right next to his fucking mouse and keyboard so every time he lifts his mouse you can hear it every time he moves his mouse you can hear the mouse feet dragging along the mouse bad he fucking slams his left click button like it called his mother fat and likewise with his keyboard. It's really fucking distracting on top of his shitty ass voice. 3. his god damn body language is so overly animated it just reaks of egotism.
4. he insults players of other games by making shit up basically. Like he once was trying to make a point about spam clicking in brood war and said something along the lines of "one thing moba players do kind of on accident is they spam click I guess they're just like "AHHHH I GOTTA MOVE MY CHARECTER TO THE SAME SPOT AHHHH" or something?" when in reality the reason people do that is the same reason people did it i brood war, spam clicking is always going to give whatever you're controlling a better path in any game it just so happens that it is more of a necessity in brood war than in other games but it's not an accident and it's not without reason. Another thing is like he talked about starcraft 2 being a rock paper scissors game when literally every high level starcraft 2 player will tell you that that's really stupid. and like he also said that in starcraft 2 when you're facing your opponent you're usually at the same army value until something big happens and you lose the fight and that's it, but like no dude harrass is was and will always be a thing where did you get that from.
Many of these points are transferable to other foreigners making videos about BW. Interesting, because the points are oddly specific. We now know that foreigners, except for Artosis:
1) Have weird voices that bounce between sounding like a regular person and Sheldon 2) Have cheap desktop mics that have been in the same spot for 20 years 3) Have overly animated body language 4) Insult other games by making shit up, and emphasize that SC2 is rock/paper/scissors game.
Even taking into account internet hyperbole, you have to have a fucking sad life to "fucking hate" an internet celebrity. I wish I had that amount of free time, to hate someone for a their "weird voice" and believe that its also a valid criticism.

i don't like watching day9's stream that much (besides when sc2 was in beta i've almost never watched his stream).. did you see that in my post?
wow, you'd think even on a hobby level he'd make a game if he were so deeply into designing games. kinda bizarre. i made a computerized version of the 2 player board game "Charlie Brown's All Stars" when i was in high school.
