It's really still not done yet, as you'll see towards the end, but I figured I'd toss it out to the wolves to get some feedback. It's a bit over 30k words, hardly a novella, so it shouldn't take much time. If you find yourself bored, I'd appreciate any comments. Cheers. _fool Netherlands681 Posts July 02 2016 09:16 GMT #2 Having read only the first 5 pages or so, I have to say: I like the style It's absurdist from the get-go. If you haven't read Kurt Vonnegut, do so ("Slaughterhouse-Five" being most famous, but I loved "Cat's Cradle", "Galapagos" and "Breakfast of Champions" as well). He applies roughly the same dry 4rth wall breaking humor.

Stuff like this "(That is, for a moment, not in a moment, which is an incorrect usage anyway.)" breaks the immersion for me. Maybe that's just Southern neo-Gothic/Grotesque style, as I have no idea what that is ^^ But hey, feedback !
