fried chicken for world peace 15min + waiting time
take it easy guys, sub my channel, I make a lot of cooking videos.

i usually try to deep fry as much as i can, do you re-use your oil? i found that if the batter is really powdery it ruins the oil (kinda like the of your clip). so i try to batter it as much as i can and deep fry it. faster, crispier and more reusable oil.

Yeah reusing oil is definitely not healthy (or safe? not sure about that), that being said I have lots of black friends from the south and their moms would just reuse that shit over and over, so who knows

i just add water, i mix my batter with garlic salt and kfc powder instead of flour (can get that from any groceries). the kfc or any frying powder gives it that crunch and golden look.

re-using oil isn't that great, but i use large amounts every time, i don't see a problem given places like fish and chips are constantly frying stuff in the same oil over a regular period of time

I'm surprised so many people fry at home

I'm quite the home cook myself but some things I just don't see the point of doing.. deep frying at home is one of them

the camera (really just my phone) is mounted on a clamp thing (which is part of a clamp lamp I disassembled)

I'm not too inclined to shorten the episode because I feel the recipe are so simple there's not much worth showing in a short episode. but in a real-time one I have some time to discuss the deeper aspects of cooking, some "theories" and tricks, if you will, which I feel is more important than the recipe itself.
