Just another forgotten finger-painting;
Forged by the present but lost the war to time
An army with a general who spent the day waking
Daydreaming, little embraces of a better prime
The sunsets all blend in, dozen loves cast the same shadows
Foreshadows- the same echoes -the new age gallows
The myriad of streetlights lit the eternity in grace
Each the one, a cold reminder- everything's part of the chase
II. Riverstruck
The rain comes, the shivers
In the midst of winter
In, amidst the sinners
It all leaves to the rivers
It's just -- Riverstruck
It's just the flawless moonlight, a sliver, a splinter
A door locked and shut
Retreats to nothing but the must
Everything's a rain drop, simply praying it lingers
But it's just -- Riverstruck
It's funny, now left hoping the fall lasts for eternity
It's funny, how a coffin's better than uncertainty
It's funny, knowing that the phone never rings
It's funny, knowing whatever sacred angel wings
Are just -- Riverstruck
They lead to the river bank
Carried today's forgotten and tomorrow's sank
Amongst the riverbed, never to be seen
Always to be remembered, in remembrance the only perfect queen
It's just -- Riverstruck
But not another, rather different
And the fate swaps by the minute
It all ends up here, doesn't it?
This is all I'm ever meant to be
I'm just -- Riverstruck
III. The Day The Sun Fell Down
Spring- the wind, carries with it a certain lust
For life, for love, to hope, to rust
To coffins with roses that cared for them all
From couples with roses that couldn't bare the fall
Labelled all, from bad decisions to letting it go
Labelled all, to friendship found from giving up.
My friend sat back and asked me what changed
I answered, nothing.
IV. Daylight (I)
The newspapers coat the walls
The alarm clock rings out, a solemn sound of weakness
The weeks just melt to - certain parts of secrets
It pours - the reveal, the 'be real', it virals, and spirals, and.. falls
Roses that wither- to ravines, to routines
To smithereens, the reign of the machines
Find separation in familiarity
Your loneliness is the same as mine, that's a rarity
A mirror finds fright amidst a heart- breaking night
Sunders dawn, a silent plight that sombers sight
It's the same. It's the same.
But with a different color
The toxins, from roses' reds to the shoreline's blues
The skies of whites, same time the skies of grey
That soon gave way to rain
Which coated the world, forevermore
V. May The Earth Stand Forever Still
The endless downpour, a collection of nights and days
That eventually gave way to simple separate ways
As expected as a number of sunsets
And just another number of sunsets
Perhaps worse awaited than the embrace
Perhaps worse to play the game than simply exit the chase
Eternally a number of doors, nothing more than never will
The will wrote - May The Earth Stand Forever Still
VI. Eclipsed (II)
The empty crowds give empty cheers
Applause, the same sound as falling tears
Slipping years hardly matter next to the present
Next to what the next day/last day meant
Feels like a fool's first blessing is sometimes being content
Instead of focusing on the reason - why was I sent
If nothing's gonna turn out how I want
And I know that's not always right, but then it's the only thing left
Ignoring a smirk and an honest smile's taunt
Starting to feel like happiness is just a guest
So what's the point when it all fades
When it all falls, when it all cascades
Some see a jack of all trades, I see a king of no keeps
I see a man who has mastered the sacred art of failure
And I'd do it all again
I'd simply wish for it to be different
But it never would be, the same failure repeats
Until it's not one, left just another forgotten finger-painting

As always, leave any feedback you may have.
I'll pretty much keep posting poetry whenever either way, but it's nice to see!
