November 3rd, 2014 will mark the one year anniversary for me joining yoe Flash Wolves. I'm writing this early because I don't think I will have the chance to write it on the day that this happens. I will be busy with other projects.
I was studying abroad in Korea when I joined (but don't get the wrong idea, they are a Taiwanese team although they do have two Korean players), and I felt like things were getting worse and worse for me in terms of following the eSports dream. Adding to that, I was gaining more weight. You can see a big difference with me when I was in Korea (180 pounds(80ish kilograms)) and me now (157 pounds (72 Kilograms)). At one point I was so frustrated with Starcraft that I deleted the game from my hard drive when I was in Korea. Then when I joined yoe Flash Wolves my spirits were lifted significantly. I knew I was joining the best SC2 team in Taiwan, and it could help me increase my reputation. But this blog isn't about me, it is about what they have done for me, and for me to give the team their long-overdue attention.
San is one of the strongest players in the world. I believe he was asked to join yoe Flash Wolves because of his success in TeSL Season 4 2013 (May or June 2013). But even I didn't think san would be one of the world's best competitors in 2014. I knew Ian was the 2nd strongest zerg in Taiwan, hands down. WCS Challenger League 2013 Season 1 (back when WCS 2013 was completely open-ended), WCS Challenger League Seasons 1 2 and 3 2014. Four top 4 finishes in Taiwan eSports League. Fourth prize in Taiwan Open 2014 with a victory against two regular GSL competitors: Departure and Jaedong. yoeFWJoJo, coach of yoe Flash Wolves. ASL 2012, he finished in the round of 16, taking down CreatorPRIME 2-0 at one point, and taking a single game off of MaruPRIME long before he joined Jin Air Green Wings. He went to the NeoTV Star League in 2012 and finished in the top 8 alongside Slam. Slam has consistently performed well against Taiwanese players in the TeSL circuit and qualified for 2 seasons of Challenger League in WCS 2014, and in Season 3, made it to the Round of 32 for Premier league. Leenock... Come on guys, do I really need to tell you how much face he can wreck?
On the day that I joined yoe Flash Wolves, I felt like a part of me was accepted. Like a soldier in a platoon, and it was my duty to do whatever I could to represent them well. I always make mistakes. Everyone does. Sometimes they are small, but sometimes they are big. But when we do, we have people around us to morally guide us and put us back on the right path. For me, yoe Flash Wolves, JoJo and 4Leaf has always been that source of my guidance, reminding me that when in Rome, one should do as Romans do.
This is to everyone at yoe Flash Wolves: 兄弟們,繼續自強不息,我們是世界上最強的戰隊之一。Even if I leave yoe Flash Wolves, I will still love the team and the experience I have had with them.
EDIT: I am just a caster / translator for yoe Flash Wolves. Far from a pro gamer. Maybe think something like Maximus Black when he joined team Quantic so so so long ago.

5/5, boss! But of course you love yFW. You are on a salary there. No one would expect you to come in here and type that they suck and you are only there to get paid. Sure you have to say how cool they are, come on!

Realistically speaking, no casters are salaried by the teams that they brand name themselves to be a part of with the exception of iNcontroL because his title at EG is Team Captain. He also has a very powerful role in managing the team in other ways, if I'm not mistaken.
My title at yoe Flash Wolves is "Caster" and "foreign relations". What do you think I make besides twitch revenue? I teach English as my mainjob and do whatever I can for eSports in my spare time.

Don't you get paid to cast and to do the foreign relations? It seems to be pretty time consuming and I really think people who devote their time and efforts for a particular team should receive some monetary incentive. You know, to be stimulated to do those things better in the future, to put in more effort. It doesn't seem fair if you do it completely for free. But it the end, whatever floats your boat.

I don't want to look like an ungrateful little shit. I appreciate everything you and the other casters do for the growth of eSports. I really do. Now even more, when you typed that you do it for free. Then it must be your passion and I am in awe of such people. I guess I just mean to type THANK YOU and have fun!

That's it. No contract exists between me and yoe Flash Wolves. Just think about that for another minute or two.
