In my experience everyone I tried to get to play SC2 with me that ended up having ladder anxiety placed so much arbitrary significance onto league placement. They were either terrified to be placed in bronze or ended up in bronze and got disheartened every time they lost. "Man I can't even beat people in bronze league there's no way I'll get any better" People are weird. | ||

In fact, the entire stigmatization of ladder anxiety is a little silly too imo. It's hardly a crime to simply enjoy playing 4v4s or Nexus Wars or something more than one enjoys ranked 1v1s. After all, plenty of people feel the same way; join just about any lobby in the arcade and you see plenty of people with really low character levels but super high stats in whatever that UMS is. It's pretty easy to lose sight of the super-casual community, especially on a site like this that focuses pretty much exclusively on the competitive 1v1 aspect. | ||
