A law question about illegal parking situation

So here is the situation. My fiance has a monthly pass to a hotel parking lot across the street from her apartments. This is in the heart of baltimore. When there are big events, the parking lot becomes very full, and parking there is expensive (though free for my fiance because she pays for a monthly pass).

Lately, the owners of the lot have taken to absolutely cramming cars in there during events. They do so in a way that straight up blocks in a ton of other cars, and those cars would never be able to get out until the people blocking them in left.

So the question is, is this legal? If there was an emergency and my fiance was blocked in, what could she do? If she called the cops could they do something? Could she call a tow company? Or is it completely up to the property owners? It doesn't seem right that she could be blocked in at any time and unable to leave.

This is in Baltimore, MD. I know we have a lot of knowledgeable people and experts here on TL so I just wanted to see what people thought.

wow that is really dickish thing to do, to block another car just so u can park O_o im also curious now to what u can do to those people

Are you talking about a situation that has happened or are you zealously defending against the future?

Sounds like civil law to me (private lot). Gotta read dat contract. And if it's not in there, gotta consult dat attorney for default rules. And even if there is potential litigation, cost probably outweighs the benefit.

Cops probably won't do shit. Unless your fiance is smoking hot. Which just may be the case.

Probably need to just find another lot if it's too bothersome.

no it is not legal, but i doubt the police would do anything about it, and you don' t wanna have a bad relationship with the people who own the lot;
Is this monthly pass comon with other people in your area, or just a few people have it? if its the first case, my advice is to TALK to the people who own the parking lot, and kindly but firmly explain the situation. They might be willing to let you have a specific space where cars do not park in front. Most things are resolved when we talk to people. it could be that they have no idea of your situation, not that they are just being dicks

get a lawyer.

it's a private lot on private property held by private ownership. they can probably do whatever they want.
