also i thought you said he expressed interest in your sexuality, even though he comes across as a biggot asshole (exactly like you used to not long ago)? isn't that at least a little commendable as opposed to damnable? 10-15 yrs ago i probably would have gone the woman route if i was immersed in that as an option, i was pretty feminine due to being very skinny and adoring girly stuff and femininity, combined with loathing of typical masculinity behaviour. acting "manly" was virtually beyond my comprehension at one point, why would anyone want to be like that? it is deplorable, unkind and arrogant behaviour. but instead as the many years rolled past i slowly became more confident in myself as a male and very gradually became able to adopt more masculine traits that i was previously incapable of even forcing myself to adopt. its hard to even remember exactly what examples to give right now. things like "being exertive" (thats not the right word is it??). now i can barely relate to that previous way of thinking. i think not being skinny anymore might have a lot to do with it. i strongly feel that how we "look" has a large mental impact on us. now i look a lot more manly (put on like 20kg in weight or wtvr) and am about "i want her" rather than "i want to be her". related | ||

As for your dad, I don't think he'll come around. He might but you shouldn't expect it to happen. Cutting him from your life sounds like the right decision even though it sounds like it was hard for you. Cruise vacations aren't that important anyways compared to the emotional suffering you'd get from going with him. Good luck. And it's good that you have a supportive mother. Maybe try to get her with someone so you can actually have a dad | ||
