Sounds like a great idea, yeah? Lets hope we can get some good drunk blogs in here. I think that would make for a nice small section of blogs, sort of like a miniature version of the [Girl Blog] phenomena, but without the sex drive and of smaller scale (well okay noyhiinh etonh eiyh drunken sex drive blogs too!). Edit: Shit maybe it's just not ganna happen. Every guy has a dick and sex drive and testosterone, but not everyone has that drive to drunk blog. Darkness and non-optimism.

Well I started out by writing this as a new PM instead of a new blog. Confidence rises and then whoosh, things happen you didn't anticipate, like writing a bunch of shit into a PM to nobody, instead of as a real blog.

Something I think is just so necessary is to share how cute baby sloths are: http://trendting.com/have-you-ever-heard-baby-sloths-talk-to-each-other-yup-baby-sloths-just-got-even-cuter/

I watch the video 5 or so times and will do more.

My god the cuteness.

So the senior engineer I work with told me about his dream. It was hilarious. So he's a fairly techinical guy, and is a very strong skeptic about everything in general. But apparently in his dreams he's hilarious. He "solved the game", as in he miraculously came up with some amazing genius idea that would make millions of dollars and make the game emotionally miraculous. I work on a game as my day job (for some context). And lol he said ther ewas also a gigattnic fluffy cat that was super friendly.

Sure having a dream about solving the problem that will make you rich is great, but having a dream about having a giant fluffy friendly cat is something that speaks about your priorities in life. Obviously this man has dreams of success in order to fulfill some higher priority. Why a friendly cat? He must want to do good int he world, he has priorities he believes to be right.

I'm trying to express that I think this guy I work with is extremely non-selfush. Obiovulsy he's not selfish. Him and hte rest of his team released Journey for PS3 despite running out of funding for months near th eend. When developing Journey for the PS3 the dvvelopers worked for quite some time without any pay in order to release the game. There was a lot of tension involved with the final push to release the game, but the game came out and clearly has intention to evoke feelings in people. This type of inention isn't one born of capitalism, but born of what Christians refer to as the "holy spirit", or inner-concious. A drive to do what is right, to act responsibly and attend to your duty as a person.

Maybe I'm jsut subscribing my own meaning to the games of thatgamecompany, but I really feel the people who work here do so because they feel that there's a greater purpose in life opposed to just trying to make profit.

Do you really think that the people who made Brood War, the greatest competitive game to date, really had a drive to jsut make money? Those that want to make money make that their priority, and there are great ways to make money other than making a product that has the user's best interest in mind. Brood War was definitely made out of passion for something other than what man can grant another man.

That's my problem with capitalism in general. Capitalism is about getting others who apart of the capalist scoietey to give you their value. You get them, by whatever means are deemed legal, to have them give you their value. You get them to give you their life force. Capitalism is at it's core selfishn, and revovles around profitable growth for the sak of compeittion. There's no other deeper goal than to become richer than others. It's selfish and rotten to the core.

I don't fantisize about the ability to think of a better society than capitalism, but my meyer brigg's type is INTP. Apparently I'm very idealistic, or at elast am so very concerned with the ideal. Well in my mind people should just do what is right. I think that no form of currency should exist at all. What does currency do for people? It provides an axiom by which an individual can separate buying and selling of property. What does this truly mean in a transcendental nature? It exists as a mean to allow those who have property to employ their value in trade. If everyone on earth just did what they fucking should, and do what is right then there would not be a need for an imposed system to regulate trade or value in any way.

In simple terms this means people who are rich would give to the needy, and those who have privilege would share with the less privileged. It's so simple, but it feels so rare. DOn't we all agree that an ideal society is one where the poor and weak are protected by those with the ability to protect?

I feel this has been a good expression of what's going on inside myself lately.

Please, let the drunken blogs commence. I'm not sure why, but I feel drunk blogs are important. Hopefully we'll see more from other drunken TL people.

Edit: I also want to brag that my girlfriend is the best. The best.

Edit: I tried to stream brood war and streamed to file for like what 3 hours straight. God damnigt.

Look at you, almighty drunk poster. Riding the coattails of an 'insignificant', 38 post, blogger on TL. He's only a "Regular" blogger, so you take your power, steal his blog and then put it under your dark shadow of a "Featured" blog. So smug.... yet so....

WTF am I doing typing this. BRB need another beer.

Hey. I just wanted to make a comment about your opinion on capitalism. I agree than unchecked it can foster greed and should be regulated as a result.

However the alternative is worse. Without an incentive to compete with others in a fair environment (regulated capitalism), people get lazy and lose motivation. Competition invites effort, which inspires creativity and innovation.

There is a healthy balance somewhere in there.

And hence, non-capitalist societies have died of hunger due to their lazyness.

Capitalism itself doesn't have anything to do with checking for greed and corruption, in my opinion. Regulation and laws are something else entirely used to try to control the greedy heart that lives within the citizens a capitalist society. This line of opinion might rear around to the age old saying "a perfect society requires perfect citizens", but I still think that people should just do what is right and uphold their duty. I think many forms of society, including communism, would work great with ideal citizens to participate.
