Hey anyone reading this, this is my first attempt at writing a blog that will (hopefully) continue for longer than a month. I have written others previously but they usually end after a while and I forget the user names and passwords. I have been lurking around the edges of TL for a bit and finally decided to make a little input with a blog. The people on here seem super cool and I always find really interesting things to read about when I should be working :3 I decided to actually make an account and see how I go at human interaction.
I'll admit that I spend a lot of my working day reading blogs, fanfic and Reddit. I am not very interested in my current job and have spent the majority of two days trying to type up something decent and interesting to post here, I think I have wasted two days....
Ok so a little about me is I guess where this blog should go. I work in finance, specializing in shares, insurance and retirement planning. It is quite fun and I enjoy the work but not so much the people I work with. My life outside of work is Dota, it is my only real hobby apart from eating and sleeping (this sounds so depressing when actually written down). I live in a country town, it's quite small and there isn't much to do but I'm not so social so it doesn't affect me much.
Apart from Dota I also love Starcraft but I haven't played it for about two years now. It's hard for me to play two games at once with the small amount of spare time I have. I also used to play a lot of Minecraft and Skyrim both of which I miss so much! I have a PC which my boyfriend and I built together from scratch (because I'm retarded and can't be trusted with simple tasks).
Other interesting facts you might find interesting and would like advice on:
-I lived in Thailand for eight months, sawadee ka for the Thai people on here! I can tell you all the sick places in Bangkok to go.
-I know a lot about the Australian finance system, ask away!
-I am bad at Dota but can tell you I will talk to you all day about that shit if people listen.
-I still collect Pokemon cards. I have been collecting since I was 10ish.
-I can tell you about Australia and how cool it is.
-I'm an expert when it comes to Family Guy, I can quote that shit like a pro.
-I have a farm and can show you cool pictures of the Aussie outback.
-I also love dinosaurs. I want to collect figurines someday (I collect anime and gaming figures at the moment).
-Last but not least I love to read about space and the planets and stuff. People think it's weird that I can recite the planets in order from memory, that's not weird it's cool!
Anyways yeah I nice to meet you all and hope to make some awesome friends who like the same awesome stuff as me. Trust me, I get more interesting in the later stages of knowing me :D

Thank you!! I don't have many due to me usually being poor! But I have Mikasa and Byakuya and all the starcraft people and two from warcraft three oh I also have a charmander. They are definitely not smaller than your fingernail! But nah it's fine as long as ya have your bug spray and a shovel

Im really interested in all that space stuff as well, and I think only stupid people would think it's weird to know the names of the planets in our solar system.
Not that it's any of my business but for me time at work always goes faster if I spend it productive (like going a bit up and beyond your job description for example). Partially because I want to work my way up and partially because I thibk it's a bit bad mannered to waste away the time they pay you for. Anyway welcome to TL!

You are totally right, I am a terrible employee. I hate wasting time, it is the only thing you can't get back if you waste it. I need to find a better focus and attitude towards my job since jobs are harder to come by these days (well good ones anyway). Thanks for the advice! And yeah space is awesome, I went to a quiz night and was like the space expert I got 10/10 in that section for the team. We still lost the quiz night though....

I work in finance too, I spend lot of time reading stuff that interest me in my work instead of working (and is not like I have that much work to do, I just don't like to look for work... I just do what I have to do and what my boss tell me...), and I think is not really a good thing, but whatever.
I love Dota too... I have a blog in which i try to write analysis and stuff in spanish and it's going decently.
What are your favourite things about Dota? Heroes, roles, teams, players? I like Windranger, Clockwerk, Rubick, Nyxnyxnyx, and soo more.

Hehe yeah I never see snakes and I mainly live in town although it is a country town so you get the odd python hiding in the tall grass. Your techniques of dealing with snakes are a little more radical than my own. I usually just take to it with a shovel and if it gets away well hopefully it will stay on its side of the farm.

What is the finance system like over there? I am always interested to learn how other countries financial planning needs differ from my own. Yeah I am the same, not very proactive about finding stuff do, just do what I have to. Favorite things about Dota? Everything! haha no but seriously I love to mid. I love heroes that I have to farm and especially junglers. I love Spectre, Naga, Doom etc. I am pretty bad though so I usually just go support so I don't muck the game up I just need more practice :D I love Clockwork and Nyx they are both so fun to play!

Even better, this day 4 years ago (2010), Bisu lost a PvP to Violet on Fight Spirit allowing Violet to have the satisfied feeling of beating the Greatest protoss ever before passing away (R.I.P. Violet).
Fun fact: Bisu plays all 5 heroes at once when he plays dota.

Hmmm... I don't quite understand what do you exaclty mean by the finance system, but considering what you pointed out I can tell you that is very small in terms of participants, but at the same time is probably the best system in South America, since is more stable that our neighbors. The retirement planning here is a private system, companies are the one that takes the people savings, invest with them, and at the retirement age (65-60) they give it back to you in a monthly basis with some interest on it. It's very criticized from a social point of view, and this makes these companies to be great participants of the stock market, since they own big amount of shares of other companies.
I work in the finance department of my company, not like I work in the finance industry. My company is a dealer of one of the biggest heavy machinery manufacters and we don't like dogs (lol), I usually see the mining busisness...
Hey, support is a very hard role to fill. Look at great support players and you will see the huge impact they have in the game... I should have a terrible ping at Australia and I assume you can only play in australia or SEA.

Anyways yeah we have the ASX which is like your NASDAQ (i think its called). We have stocks for Australian companies but cant buy other countries shares unless through a broker but the fees are massive.

I would LOVE to know more about Australia, I am planning my first visit there in August! I will be in Brisbane mostly, but I am hoping to get a chance to visit Melbourne and Sydney at least once.
Also pokemon is the bestest. And Dota. That is a fun game. If you weren't so far away it might have been fun to play together, but at the moment I can only play (badly) on EU servers.

Awww cool as! Australia is wicked as, I have lived here my whole life and have never been to any of the places your going! Well, perhaps we can play when I come to Aus, then it is only across country playing I am also awful at cooking, I prefer baking too actually. So what do you keep on your farm?

Wtf? Bisu made Savior a scrub. Flash is clearly the Best of all time and I don't see how anyone can argue that. But then it comes down Best of all time for each race. Which would be Jaedong, Flash, Bisu. So #2 is either Bisu or Jaedong based on how you interpret how hard it is to play Protoss and Zerg at the highest level. Bisu has a dominating proleague record and BvJ is in his favor plus his 3 MLSs. But then Jaedong has MSLs and OSLs with a pretty damn good PL record for his given team situation. Therefore I'd put F>J>B because of Jaedongs Individual record. However, we could call that all moot because Bisu won SSL9 and that's the only tournament that has ever mattered.

Which race do you think is the hardest to play? I mainly have only experience in Protoss so I would always go for Protoss players. Would all the races be similar difficulties though?

Wahahahahahaha drop bears....... Also huntsmans are the worse. They get in the freaking car and hide under the sun vizor and unexpectedly drop into your lap when your driving... I hate them. Christmas spiders are worse they hang everywhere and they are freaking massive! Trust me you don't want to see them.

Protoss is widely considered to be the "easiest" (as in not quite as ridiculously hard as the other two) to play mechanically, not sure if there is a consensus when it comes to whether Zerg or Terran is harder.
Aside from that, Protoss is manly (Reach!), Zerg is sexy and Terran is just pure evil. + Show Spoiler +Don't believe anything about race differences from anyone, anywhere, ever.

I got offered the job straight out of high school. I didn't know what I wanted to do and you know what they are like in high school saying you need to figure out your life now... I just did it to fill in the gaps between now and my dream job, unfortunately I still haven't figured out my dream job yet... I want to study but I keep putting off but we shall see. I have no considered being a paleontologist, I guess I would say I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed :/ but I do ok for myself.
