Yo guys,
First blog for me. I'm starting this because I thought I'd might as well record my adventures. I've been planning for about 1-2 years to continue my travels (ive lived in china and taiwan) but this time its Korea.
Ill be working when I can online (Im a graphic designer) but I mostly would like to be playing/practicing sc2, going to live sc2 events and learning more about Korean culture and just typical traveling stuff.
June/July will be the round about date of leaving and would encourage any other to join. Also anyone else already in Korea I would like to met up.
This will hopefully be a rather long term thing so spending will be on a budget. Any hardcore sc2 players welcome to join, fark ya!

Good luck in the promise land, I wish I could go. What are you going to be doing for money? Just doing graphic design online? Mind sharing how much the expenses will be, and where you will be staying exactly? I'm very curious as it has always been a dream of mine to go as well.
Best of luck to you!

I go to university here and plan to work in the country after graduation. I graduate in the winter.

cheers, some luck would be nice. u should try and come.
I believe Korea can be pulled of relatively cheaply. its mostly just the ticket.
as for my finances ive been saving as much as i can and well the graphic design job will just be extra. (honestly im not counting on it)
I've worked out roughly $13,000 total is a safe amount to work with and that is for a year, that's including ticket, visa runs accommodation and other unforeseen costs. apparently some of the goshiwons have rice and kimchi free, if thats true well thats a good deal.
Coming from Australia being one of the most expensive places at the moment on the planet I think Korea has some advantages when it comes to bang for buck.
edit: note this is a very safe estimate imo and can be done cheaper/more risky

Well I hope you stick around. Are you by any chance originally from Norway? I talked to a guy that was studying in Korea who was streaming the 24h broodwar channel awhile back.
