Sure some idiots make a spectacle of themselves, but I think for a lot of people it is truly a difficult thing and takes courage. Maybe things are different now, but I remember growing up being called gay was like the ultimate insult. Don't you think perhaps he was more so poking fun at the media's absurd reactions to professional athletes coming out?

I guess my reaction was an emotional one. It felt like he was heaping contempt upon gay people and their desire to "come out". I feel like they deserve to, and it's small recompense for feeling like a criminal and freak for being born a certain way. As for the media, I don't think there's anything on earth that they cannot make absurd and obscene.

I tried to explain my intentions clearly in the spoiler. I am poking fun at the fact that the media reports almost ANY case of people coming out even if they are a nobody. Professional athletes coming out in the news is fine since they make the news anyways. But a random beauty queen contestant who didn't even win the contest a few years ago making the media? dafaq is this.

Here's the article that I pretty much copied and changed a few words: http://www.policymic.com/articles/84201/former-miss-kentucky-comes-out-as-queer-in-response-to-anti-gay-rhetoric Like whoooooo really cares about Miss Kentucky?? I have gone to school with plenty of people that are gay but they don't need to public tell the world... You should be a little more friendly to gay people considering how hard you got buttfucked by your landlord because your dumbass signed a lease without understanding what it meant since you seem a little young and dumb, the reason that public figures coming out is important is because this country is still in the stone ages when it comes to equality for gays. There is legislation that prevents them from enjoying the same rights that your ignorant ass does. There is rampant homophobia in sports and other fields. FFS, none of the major sports have had someone out while playing until very recently, and that's because of the stupid bigoted atompshere there. So someone like Jason Collins or Michael Sam coming out is big, even though the former and sucks and the latter probably will as well too. Even Miss Kentucky is important since it continues to raise awareness about the topic. Just because you don't pay attention to that doesn't mean that millions of people feel the same way. Since you obviously have problems reading past the first sentence of any document, this is found in your story: 'Trent, who finished in the top 10 of the 2011 Miss America pageant, said that she had been inspired in part by Ellen Page's recent coming out speech. But an equally important factor was District Judge John G. Heyburn II's ruling ordering the Kentucky to recognize same-sex marriages legally performed outside the state. (Kentucky is appealing the ruling.)' I dunno, might be kind of relevant Also, learn to sarcasm, dumbass. It's supposed to be funny and witty User was temp banned for this post.
