I knew when I saw my neighbour for the first time that he wouldn't be just any other neighbour. He was special. I mentioned earlier that he rode the bus, which he does once in a while, and I make sure I get on for the ride to see where he is going. The bus stop is right next to us on the street. I go in by the front and pay, he goes in by the large middle doors and doesn't pay, I never knew why but I guess it's just a bother to make him pay because he cant get to the front, I get a bit jealous he can ride the bus for free. He stands there in the middle during the bus ride, and I stare at him all this time and once he looked at me, but I figure he is used to be stared at so I kept staring at him and eventually he stopped looking back. He tries to hold on in the turns but his belly and ass just flies around, gravity isn't his friend. He gets off down town, and here there are a lot of people and he clogs up the street, people try to get by and not touch him, a challenge. I am a bit behind him so he wont see me, I doubt id lose track of this guy. He walks into a small electronics store, I think damn, how did he get in through that door? I'll just wait outside.
So after maybe ten minutes he comes out with a robot like this under his arm:

He starts walking towards me and I panic and run into a small store where a guy with a turban stands by the counter, he looks at me in my panic, it was a bit awkward, so I begin browsing the noodles and candy bars eventually putting something concealable in my pocket. Now I need to get out, I look at his goods like i'm disappointed he doesn't have something, I gesticulate with my hands that I couldn't find something, then I walk out, I dont want to lose track of my neighbour. But it is all fine, he was at the bus stop, waiting for the bus to go home.
The next day I saw him put this string on the edge of his lawn and this bot began going around cutting his grass, I thought technology had gone too far, and thought of what the robots in the matrix did.

Note to self: don't live in an apartment/condo forever. Find a place where I have to take care of the lawn, so that my kids have to mow by push mower and don't turn out to be some big slugs.

I think the fat neighbor is himself and the narrator is himself from a decade ago where he was young and still fit. He uses the literary technique of separating himself into two people and writing from the past self's perspective and antagonizing the current self in order to establish self conflict and not being able to come to terms with what he has become.
