Youngest GM NA and EU

Hello everyone, I am Samson "Arium" Nazaryan. I am a 13 year old starcraft 2 player. I have been playing for almost 2 and a half years. I am at a high master level looking forward to be the youngest grand master ever. My birthday is August, 24th 1999. But here is the thing. I am not going to lie, I think I am at the level where I can get Grand Master. But the thing is I don't know if I will be available to play during the day of the new season. I will be going on a vacation with my family to Mexico, this vacation will be 8 Days. I will be leaving at June, 11th. But the new 2013 season 4 will began June 10th. And it takes a week for GM to open. So I have thought of a plan. While I am at this vacation I will be taking my gaming gear and my Dad's laptop. I'll set up a neat little area and will practice for 7 hours before the day of release. And as GM opens I will ladder my a** off to get it. If not I got another month at home. But the best chances of getting Grandmaster is near the opening of it. Right now I think the record of youngest GM ever is held by my friend, Albin "ThisGameSuck" Zetterlund, he is from the Europe server and is from Sweden. He got it 1 week before his 14th birthday. Wish me luck guys and girls. For I will be the youngest GM ever (Maybe) !!!!!!!!!

Damn, that's really impressive. I can see that you're really committed to getting GM, but if it were me, I would just try to enjoy your vacation. Granted, you can choose to do anything you want, but GM will always be there from now on and you might not tour Mexico anytime soon in your life again. Like you said you got another month to go for it, so I wouldn't worry about it too much on your trip. Good luck though

Enjoy these moments man. 13-18 is the best gametime of your life: no worries, a lot of free time, etc. I wish I was 13 now.. I remember me playing cossacks and american conquest at that age. I wish sc2 was out back then

Honestly, I'd recommend you just enjoy your vacation and don't worry about this.

Agree with GenesisX. You will have another chance to get into GM, but those days at Mexico will not come back. I think that you should enjoy your vacations and try to relax, then come back and practice a lot to get in next season.

After all it doesn't matter whether you are the youngest person in GM or a very young person in GM (14 is still fine). I don't think that the title "the youngest person in GM" will gold any value. Anyway, good luck and hope you spend your time wisely!

I am not an SC2 player, but doesn't GM take some time to fill up anyway? And isn't there a chance to get dropped out of GM so new spots open up?
Rather enjoy your vacation and give it your best once you're back, imo. and gl
