clearly that bloodseeker force staff idea needs a venge for swaping, a bat rider for towing, and a spirit breaker for knock backs. just a force staff is clearly not enough guys. its a legit strategy ^^

These blogs really give a deep insight into the team that is TeamLiquid. It gives the team a voice, a perspective and a personality. It makes you accountable and responsible by having you share your thoughts, failures and successes. Much appreciated. Keep going. Your games are a blast to watch.

Awesome blog, kinda struck a cord with some things that are going on with me. These blogs are really insightful and I am really grateful that you take all the time you do to write them. Thanks, and I look forward to the next.

Good Post, something that caught my eye about Leadership relates to how the Canadian Military trains (known for their intelligence-training) - Although there are officers who lead the squads, every member is drilled upon to think and adapt in any situation for the best of the troop, not just from directives from the commander. They teach us so much about leadership, in and out of operations/fields, regardless of what job you have (for instance, I sit behind a desk all day) - but I feel like I would excel in a leadership position if forced into one. One thing that caught my attention once when being trained was when a Chief Warrant Officer (one of the highest ranks) said "Everyone has their specific strengths; if we were in a situation where there was a Private who happened to have a medic background in the field, and someone became injured, regardless of my rank opposed to his, I will let him take charge because he knows more than I do in this situation"

So I do think its smart, to train everyone on the team to be capable to think for themselves in-game situations; Korok obviously has a unique mindset with his "on-the-edge" playstyle that if you did indeed make more calls in game, would ruin that flare he brings. No team should be mindless drones with one leader, they should be 5 capable individuals with strengths to fill each others weaknesses.

I also want to say, from someone whos been around Liquid/the website since 2000 back in the Ladder Challenges days of Nazgul, Meat, Drone, etc.. They could not have picked a more mature leader to start off the Dota section of the team. Definitely fits into the Liquid "mold" that Nazgul expects from his members.

The insight you have into your own position and ability to lead is amazing, I knew there was a reason I liked you.

gl hf in the future TL, with this leader you will go far.

I find it really amazing how someone so young is so mature and able to look inward to improve.

I second this.

A lot of times just writing out and organizing all your thoughts is enough to clear some stress and get you to a much better mental state. No homo.

Thanks for the great read, FLUFF. I was very excited when Liquid`DOTA formed and have absolutely not been disappointed! I was up screaming when Korok and TC took the throne from MOUZ in game 3 of The Defense Loser Bracket match-up, my wife thought I was dying! Haha...

Can't wait for more Liquid`DOTA!

Guess I am a bit late, but hey kinda need to evacuate all those toughs.

As the captain of a team , I must say this blog post talks to me quite a lot.

And even "quite a lot" is an understatement, cause hell I know how it feels to be the (5), to sacrifice your whole game to give space to the others to shine.

Hell I know , this feeling of having to "Think" everything on your own, believing that you just need to come with a bright idea or strategy to make your team rise from the bottom
to the top of the ladder.

That, you should take the blame for every failure and that in the end, but that in the end acting as if your opinion doesn't matter as much as your teammate.
Or as you also said , having this mentality which drives you to believe that other idea are "always" better then your own.

Leading in such way that you end up dictating your teammates how they should think and act, and cause your own performance to drop at the same time.

Seriously ... This is so hard ... So hard to endure , and yet so ineffective.

So, although I haven't found my answer yet as I still struggle with those inner questions, I want to thank you for this enlightening post and those quotation which allow me to put things
into perspective and give me hope that I will someday fine my answer as well as long as I keep my passion for the game.

From the bottom of my heart , thank you for this blog and best of luck to you and Liquid, FLUFF

Again, fluff's blogs are always such a great read. I've played captain and I can relate to those points of trying to command your team and thinking, Damn, I got to make every call but now I can't even focus on my own gameplay.

Fluff, I eagerly wait for your next blog. They are gifts that I could never pay you back for.
