[Girl(friend) Blog] Need Help

Okay, so my girlfriend and I are on a long distance relationship. I tend to make an effort to make it work and this valentines day I want to surprise her.

My plan is to make an online 'scavenger hunt'.
First off, I would send here a letter via snail mail explaining the game. The letter would end with a link she would type to get her to the next clue. These would contain some messages or pictures or something personal that I want to tell her. Now the problem is, I need your help in giving me more online places that directly links her to.

Here's the flow:

Letter -> Pastebin -> ??? -> mediafire(she downloads a zip or text file containing the next clue) -> ???
-> ending with this blog (or is it a bad idea?)

gimme some ideas!

Find the longest thread on TL. Tell her that the next clue is hidden in the thread. She can access it by taking the first letter of the first word in the second sentence of each paragraph and combine it with the third letter of the last word of each sentence read backwards.

This is going to be incredibly hard and unless you do it perfectly, it won't make sense to her if she isn't like crazy internet aware/addicted like most of us are :/, just wanted to be very honest with you. That said, you can still do this if you know the websites she frequents. I would suggest having a back up plan in the mail though.

I have been in a long-distance relationships and flowers are always great. Make sure they are delivered on the exact date. Girls love flowers and you can get some really awesome flowers online (though they can be pricey). Add a nice note how much you care about her. Unless she hates flowers of course...

thanks i'll be sure to do that and the scavenger hunt is easy enough that its simple and not confusing,i just finished it just now and will send some flowers

When the da vinci code was first released a site was made for a webquest. There are similar webquests people put online for you to do like notpron. http://notpron.org/notpron/

If you have web design skills then make a webquest for something you both like eg. game of thrones.

Send her the mail with a link to a blogspot you will create as well as a cryptic message that will reveal what blog posts to look through in order to find the next clues. Optionally, include sort of a hint to an algorithm/rule so she can tell which words / letters in the posts are important. Then, the next clues will be a couple of links. The first, to a massive tl;dr (on pastebin) comprised of old 4chan copypastas and creepypastas, once again with a hint as to what letters are important. The other link will be to a stash of music uploaded to mediafire. Now the letters revealed in the first link will be an anagram of the title of the important track in this stash of music, for in this track you will have embedded an image of a tinyurl link, leading inevitably to either Rick Roll or Everybody Walk The Dinosaur.

Wait wut.
