I randomly ran into this:

It's a comic about a nuzlocke challenge Pokemon run (if your Poke faints you must release it, you can only catch the first one in each area, etc) that quickly turns into an extremely dark and depressing story with it's "realistic" take on the Pokemon world.
I found it extremely interesting, with each pokemon (they can talk) having unique personalities and good character development. I must warn that it gets rather gory at times, as pokemon die a lot and many times in rather bloody ways.

Holy shit, this is dark as hell. Pokemon...... is crazy.
I kept reading. Jeesus christ is this every good. The story is pretty deep and very dark. And it's pokemon. I can't stop reading.

Cool stuff. I like the art style a lot. Got through all the chapters, now I'm bummed I have to wait for the rest to come out, haha. It was fun to watch the pokemon develop and evolve. Can't wait to see warturtle evolve into Blastoise. Didn't really seem as dark as everyone was saying, but I guess it can only be so dark when the protagonist is like a 12 year old girl lol. Still, kind of a neat twist on the pokemon idea.

Nuzlocke is just a style to play the Pokemon games iirc, with the rules being something like you can only catch 1 Pokemon per road, you have to nickname every Pokemon you catch and whenver you lose a Pokemon you HAVE to release it. There are also some optional rules like you mustn't enter the same Pokemon Center more than once and stuff like that.

Damn it was so good I reached the last chapter alrdy T__T. Yeah it was really dark, and in the end I dont think we'll have a happy ending.

Thanks to Reddit. I breezed through this entire webcomic created by Qlock in about 2 hours. Absolutely AMAZING..was going to make a General thread.

No, I know that Nuzlocke is a custom set of rules for playing Pokemon, I'm pointing out that there's been a whole genre of webcomics that have been created to revolve around the storytelling of said Nuzlocke playthroughs. Check out r/nuzlocke
