So I see alot of girl blogs, sad things in peoples life get posted into the blogs section, which is fine and this is a great outlet in a great community, but I want to hear some good things that are happening in peoples lives!
For me I usually have been a slacker in life, barely got out of highschool, was a ski bum for awhile (don't get me wrong, I loved that) and then just kind of hung out and got drunk alot. Then I decided I wanted to get my EMT and try to become a firefighter. Well in the last 2 months, my parents bought me a brand new car out of the blue, I have been volunteering at a fire house, got my EMT-B, working on my AEMT, getting straight A's in school for my paramedic program, got lasik eye surgery (which is life changing) and just got an internship where I live at a firehouse that runs 3k calls a year, pays for schooling and gives me a stipend. My life has actually turned around for the better in a major way, and I know there are more of you out there!
So let's hear it fellow liquidians (edit: liquidians?), what has been good about your life, even if you think nothing, the little things count too!

I've missed two days of school so far due to the hurricane, even though there has been minimal damage in my area, i.e. some fallen trees. Also, I'm part of the minority in the neighborhood that still has power.
Yeah, the hurricane is all there is to talk about for me atm.

No school and power? Sandy is supporting your esports endeavors!

Went from being a lazy student to somewhat of a hard worker now. Mostly due to much higher expectations. Locked in now and ready to finish out well in school

Haha, I always considered bragging as when you tell someone how much better you are than them, this is more of sharing positive things.

As a future optometrist, I can't say more good things about LASIK. Really is fantastic and very very few downsides to it, if any. Get it while you're young to get the most out of your money, and don't be afraid!
This makes me want to start up my blog again but I'm so laaazzzyyy (and also scurred of people finding out details about my personal life)

I am a very active person, rugby player, cyclist, runner, and now firefighting, this is literally life changing for me, the work you guys do is amazing.

my life is pretty solid right now it seems. I just moved into my very first apartment with awesome roommates. I'll have my certificate from a JC this December, an AS later next year most likely(better late than never). I work at a job that I actually don't like..but hey..its money, right?

This week is life changing for me, i saw a doctor last week who told me that i had to do some things because i could have health issues later on (i'm in dire need of D vitamins, a bit overweight and lazy as fuck) but i'm trying to quit smoking and already a week without a cig, i'm feeling so much better, full of energy. Going to the pool once a week at the moment, will see to schedule some more later on. I'm also trying to find a job waiting for next year to start going to school again (i have a degree but i want to do something else). I also had a great talk with my girlfriend who told me things i was doing wrong so i'm fixing that too.
All around great week, bit challenging but very interesting and that's the best i felt since 5 or 6 years ago when i started smoking.

It seems like all the good things that happened were because you have rich parents.
Just an observation. To be honest threads like these are just masturbation for happy people, and sad people can't participate because they're too flaccid from depression. Masturbation should be done in privacy or between consenting adults behind closed doors, anyway.

It's not a new car, but new to me, I had a CD that finished a few months ago, and used that on top of savings for my lasiks. I like sharing happiness, so it's ok for people to get together and cry and jerk off but not smile?

Good for you on the smoking man! I have tried to quit and haven't quiet got it, down to a pack a week which isn't bad, but it is damn hard, good job man!

Next week I have my final exams and if everything goes well I'll be done with college FOR GOOD!!!!
Fucking finally, 7 years can be extremely tiring lol

I just had two midterms in a row (finished the last one today), preceded by another midterm a few days before. And I did amazingly in all three!!! (To the best of my knowledge). The first grades came back for my first midterm, which was for linear algebra. I got 97%, but then the test was pretty easy. Coming up are my grades for Calculus and philosophy. And now I get to play a fun role playing game, called underrail. Its been a good day

Funny story. I took my business midterm and the teacher was telling the class who got above a 90. More than half the class missed 3 questions so there was a 3 point curve. So he would say something like, "Sara, you got a 92 + 3 which is a 95 final grade". Eventually he gets around to me. Everyone's looking at me as he says my name: "Epishade.... you don't get 3 points". Lol I got 100.
Apart from school, I feel that my life is more active these days than it has been the past years. What used to be last year coming home from school and turning on the xbox is now coming home from school and practicing piano, designing my board game (as a hobby), and a lot more productive things than usual. I'm absolutely ecstatic about learning to play piano though. I've always wanted to learn to play it and now I finally am taking lessons. Yays.

My life went from school, school, school to money, bitches, n gameplay. It's pretty neat.

Hmmm... I guess I will participate by posting. I can't assign any happenings to my state of contentedness though. It's weird. It's seemingly isolated from what happens in my life.

Drawing a blank here brah. Oh well, we'll see.

nvm, things are going pretty good actually

Woah, I'd like to hear more about Lasik. I've always hated having glasses/contacts, because I'm an active person and contacts bug me/can't swim.

dude, LIFE changing. Waking up in the morning you can see things, in the shower you never forget to take them off. You can lay down on the couch and watch TV without adjusting you glasses. On my runs rain doesn't cover my glasses. When we get a fire call I no longer lose my glasses somewhere in the engine. I HIGHLY recommend it. I have greater than 20/20 in either eye.
Also, grats to everyone on midterms.

I have a great job that flies me around the world. I am healthy and feel generally great thanks to TLHF. I have a great bunch of people to spent time with when I am home on the weekend. I am fairly successful with girls. I do exciting things to relax. I have the coolest hobby ever in working for TL and going to ESPORTS events.

Fucking awesome, that's what I like to hear! I'm only 19, so I've got to wait a while for my prescription to stabilize and to start actually making money, but I'm definitely down to do that. Thanks for the info!

Would a mod please fix the typo in the title?
I have a decent paying job, I'm a senior in college, my friends are cool, my ranked LoL team is 4-1, I skipped all my classes today to finish my 10 page paper, and I made fun of someone else in their blog (not this one). Can't complain.

I started working for a very well-known gaming company back in June. :D I'm doing something I love with a very comfortable salary. I'm also flying to Austin, Texas to watch the inaugural CoTA Formula 1 race in 2 weeks! @_@ omg...

That's cool. I'm in the Air Force, we can get PRK (eye surgery for free). I literally don't have to pay a dime for it. I guess since I put my life in danger (Afghanistan and etc.) why not give me free 20/20. *shrugs*
Oh yeah and to add to the positiveness of this thread. I found out my wife will be having a baby girl in March. I always wanted to have a daughter first so I WIN! I'm hoping she looks like + Show Spoiler + I'm black and wife is Korean
