Ok there seems to be two main trains of thought here, that I am a creeper for what I sent and that I am not a nice guy. I guess nice guy is a relative term and in this case, I was being the nice guy. I AM a nicer guy than my friend, I've known him long enough that all he does is pick girls up and try to bang them and if that doesn't work, move onto the next one. Also since we were just all sitting at a table together, I think it might have been a bit awkward to ask my friend for his permission when she was sitting RIGHT next to him. I also couldn't really talk to her more than I would have liked to because once again, my friend was there and I didn't want to cock-block him but after I gave him time and realized that he's not going anywhere with her, I gave myself permission to go. When I talked to him about it, he was fine with it coz he realized that he wasn't going to go anywhere with her either. Also for being a creeper.....is it creepy that I like to meet new people? I just love how on TL something that is different is considered as creepy and weird and socially awkward, etc...The first perspective was how this all came off as a failure and that I should move on and not waste any time because I pretty much fucked this up. Before I got her number, I DID make it clear that I wanted to chill with her later. She was going to a dance with a friend at the time being. Instead of calling or trying to figure out where she was, I figured I would just save myself the trouble and just text her quickly. I am NOT much of a texter I have to admit. O I just realized, this is sorta the first "text conversation I've had with a female" in college. All my other text convos are with guys hah I will just leave you with this mind breaking question - If I was being creepy, than why did she keep responding to texts? Like why respond to my texts if she was already back in her own bed already? I also KNEW that her room mate was going to sleep early (at 11). I texted around 12 and she was still out enjoying the friday night so I re-texted an hour and a half later to see what her plans were again. I don't think having sex is that important of a goal in my life. I am a very intelligent person and I just can't stand people who do not stir me on an intellectual level. I have only found one person like that, but she has a boyfriend that she wants to get married to. I don't really care because I was just so amazed at her level of maturity and being a freshman such as myself I was just happy enough to have met someone like her. Hmmm something doesn't add up here. I'm guessing you originally wrote that because you realized that you couldn't get a girl, so telling yourself that you don't care would make you feel better. If you honestly are a nice guy you should treat women like a little more than body parts, or at the very least, pretend to. It's not like it's hard. | ||
