It is true. When I want to socialize, I usually roll up a small joint and then go outside where everyone else is and socialize while I am smoking outside. I have been high for a significant portion of the day WHILE getting all of my homework done and being ready for the next week as well.
So where now, does the abuse of weed come in? Well I have pretty much used my pot as a social tool. I smoke a joint, I sit with some stoners and chat a lil bit. Or I go out and smoke with one of the very many people on my floor that smoke.
So where does this equate to for me? Well I have probably smoked more than a half's worth of weed within a month while leading a very productive lifestyle of working out and staying in shape 4-5 times a week, eating 4-5 small meals a day of healthy food, and getting all of my homework done in a timely manner.
Unfortunately, I do not have money to keep going on with this. My dad gave me 500$ at the beginning of the year. I think I spent about 400$ of it total. I have also gone through more than 400$ worth of food as well.
My parents aren't too mad about it yet, maybe they will never be mad and maybe they will just support me all the way through like this, but either way incase a scenario like that doesn't happen, then I have to plan for the worst and hope for the best
Do I regret all the choices I've made so far? No.
Am I afraid of moving on? No.

why don't you just make one blog called 'life of a smug, know-it-all froshie and soon-to-be drop out' and just keep all the daily updates in there instead of cluttering the section with your diary

i'm so confused. the title has nothing to do with the post, and you said "My dad gave me 500$ at the beginning of the year. I think I spent about 400$ of it total. I have also gone through more than 400$ worth of food as well" does this mean you spent $400 of your dads money on weed over a period of 9 months? then you spent $400 of your own money on food over 9 months?

My dad put 500$ into my checking account. I smoked about a half, so the price would be a little less than a half. I also bought a couple hoodies for 200$ and I had some school supplies to pick up. I have been a freshman in college for almost a month. The course of all of this has happened in about 3 weeks.

vouch. Or just hope that your parents will keep being supportive. Usually the first month or 2 months there are lots more expenses, no doubt more than $400.

If you are still in school, avoid getting a job like the playguu. Getting the highest marks possible is worth an exponentially increasing amount of money, while a part time job is simply money now.

I have a part time job on campus. I work about 5.5 hours a week so I get about 50 a week. The paycheck comes only once a month though so I have to somehow make my weed last that long and not smoke it all

If you don't have money to smoke, then you should stop?

Might want to tone it down a bit. By now, most of the people you hang with should know you, so you don't need that crutch anymore. If you can't afford it, you can't afford it. Also, nice name choice.
|
How about getting a job if you're currently enjoying yourself and would like to continue, but simply can't because of no money?

Dude, $250 on weed in almost a year?!?! Watch out, man, don't inject too many marijuanas at one time.

Oh, my bad, I must be mistaken by "$500 at the beginning of the year". School year?

Your best bet is to keep smoking those kush voluntarily or not. It takes some time to get back on track of what momentarily seems mundane to you as your reliant on the herb is certain.
And by the look of it, you definitely do not want to jeopardize your future by quitting school. So keep toking it away but you most definitely have to cut down the herb one joint at a time. It pains me to see someone in this tight spot.

not exactly sure what your point is... its not really an advice post and you don't really need help. seems like a thinly veiled brag blog about a spoiled lifestyle, which makes me wonder why you named it intervention.
also, you in here cause of marijuana? marijuana?? Man, this is some BULLSHIT! boo this man. /me throws his hat

Actually, upon a second thought.
Man needs to cut down his Cannabis cold turkey.
He can't even last a months w/o it.
He'll be drop out by the next semester.
All in all, man is already hooked.

QuanticHawk, throwing it down with authority.
I feel similarly. Should probably make one blog for your "diary" and post there any time you have random ideas.

I used to smoke an eighth a day with my bong and I was definitely "functional" while I was doing it. But for me thats when I noticed I was out of control and I had to smoke everyday from when I got up till when I went to bed. I think I spent like 10gs on weed one year. I got pretty depressed at that point and started having suicidal ideations. Thats pretty much when I knew *I* had a problem.
It seems like you are fine, but that you're a college student who cannot afford your lifestyle. Don't buy shit you cannot afford like hoodies and weed if you barely have enough money for food. Make a budget for yourself and see if weed can fit into that, if you cannot stick to your budget and you end up buying more and more weed all the time, then maybe you have a problem.
I don't smoke anymore because.
A. My job randomly drug tests me now B. I don't think I could control my using regardless and I would eventually be back at smoking an eighth a day to try and stay *normal*
|
And people wonder how students come out of their undergrad with insane debt.... get off the weed because if the University decides to do a drug test on your ass, you're fucked. Bye bye school, hello jail cell.
|
Or you could just not smoke weed.
Oh wait...
