Going to study here for about 4 months, orientation is monday but got my room at Korea University and have been strolling around the neighbourhood and eating delicious korean BBQ. Going to update this blog over time, just wanted to get the ball rolling -- Cheers  | ||

Korean BBQ, the cold buckwheat noodles and street food is the best food experience I've ever had in an Asian country. The food is very high in protein, quite spicy (but not as spicy as some Mexican dishes) and plenty of seafood (sashimi). Lots of fun places to hang out, eat out and meet new people. Can't say much about their rural areas since I only went a bit outside of Seoul for a few hours and thought it was a bit bland. | ||

miss the cheap food and alcohol, and miss staring at the pretty noonas that roam seoul. maybe next time i go i shall organise a flash mob to do this | ||

Few things Mcdonalds do deliver to the CJ and frontier dorms. You can never go wrong with Biya and smoothie king If you're a smoker, expect to be chain smoking soon enough. Raison coffee, double mojitos are really nice. There's this small shop called berry waffle near one of the biyas; they have the cheapest and the most delicious icecream waffles ever. It's pretty much a small wooden wall with a window. Drinks wise- there's this place called 왕빨때/ king straw. They only have soju and beer, but their service is so good and their 안주 is so gooooood. One downside of KU is that it's kinda far from Gangnam and Hongdae. Anam has alot of places to eat and drink, but that's pretty much it. Eating and drinking. EDIT I recall there being a Norwegian dude who's also studying at KU who's from TL. I saw him quite often in the TL meetups. | ||

It's also like 50% of them are wearing short shorts, 30% of them are wearing short skirts and the rest of them are wearing pants, unless it's really cold.
