Don't do that stuff out of boredom alone at home. I count shrooms to the more dangerous drugs personally and would never ever take them. I got no problem personaly with party drugs up to coke once in a while (couple of months, helluva drug stay away from it!), but I'd never ever take shrooms, mescalin or LSD. Most people i know are fine with it, but i also know 2 persons who were never the same after LSD abuse. + Show Spoiler + Well one guy stored 20-30 acid trips for a dealer friend. He took one, got on a strange trip and ended up eating the rest like a pack of crisps. He survived, but well he's completely fucked. This was 15 years ago and i think he's still in a mental institution... If you really want to experiment with it, be in a good mood, be careful, have somebody there who comforts you. If you are depressed or got some mental condition or are insecure about it, don't do it. Best thing, as you mentionend: Just stay away from it. | ||

Psychedelics should be used responsibly at all times and in the proper mindset - bad trips CAN be prevented. Just don't question the trip. Let it be. Go with the flow... By responsibly do not abuse it. LSD is precious and should be treated as such. | ||

that being said, i can totally understand what you went through, it's really stressfull to intereact with random people while you are under the effects, and you should be in a clear state of mind to be able to apreciate the experience (a.k.a. with friends who also took it so you can help each other and talk a bit, or a in a far away place like a farm or so). drugs can be freaking dangerous, but they can also teach you SO MUCH about yourself, i'm glad you learned from this experience and get to be a bit more carefull on future ocasions cheers from Brazil | ||

People don't realize - this can happen with any drug, even weed. All it takes is one bad trip. Arguing against it is pure idiocy, you can never accurately predict how your body will react to a line of coke. Speaking from some serious personal experience here - drugs are fun while everything goes according to plan, but that can change any second. And, ike the quoted guy said, it might affect your entire life. | ||

This is for safety. Also you shouldn't lock yourself in your room, go somewhere with space i'm sure no one will bother you if you don't bother them!!you can do it OP | ||

When I took shrooms I did them with a good friend who is quite experienced. Both of us were on shrooms while we had two other friends as sitters (although they smoked a ridiculous amount of weed in the meantime). We made ourselves comfortable in his living room and put on some great music. Even though there were some minor inconviniences for me (stomach hurting, the feeling of water flowing UP the wall, a significant amount of time in which I was not able to either talk or move), I had a great experience due to my mindset, the setting, and the company. I feel like everybody should try shrooms this way since if you're taken care of everything (aka doing it right) it is an enlightening experience. I sure as hell intend to repeat this sometime in the future. | ||

Psychedelic drugs don't work that way. I stay away from shrooms and LSD because i had metal problems in my life and am afraid of a horror trip, which is the first step of getting one, imo.
