If possession of assault rilfles are banned, then possession of 3-d printed assault rilfes are banned as well. Btw, I met a gun control nut the other day (being temporarily in Texas and all). He says the world will crumble and the fed will take over the nation if people lost their "right" to possess firearms. Oh, and when I disagreed with him he said I'm not American but "it's alright cuz you're asian and you're not from around here." He says I don't reeeaaally understand the importance of guns in our great nation.

Why are people so fucking stupid? At first I rage, then I remember that stupidity is actually a positive trait for reproduction in today's world. In the past you'd get eaten or die of hunger/starvation or fall into a hole or some shit. But today, we're all safe and sound. For every responsible and intelligent couple that procreates, 10 morons are born due to drunken nights, lack of responsibility, or through a lot of unfit parents wanting loads of kids because it will be "oh so much fun!" But it's not really their fault, it's the parents who fail to rear their children properly. So whenever I feel like my mind is going to implode, I remember this fact to zen it up and feel "serenity now." Stupid people are stupid from no fault of their own. Do you hate a monkey for shitting in his hand and throwing feces in your face? No, a monkey just does monkey things. /rant

If this is true and HaveBlue and his 7 posts are not just elaborate trolls, this takes a lot more than just a 3d printer and plans to throw together. 3D printers only do plastic, so he only uses it for the external parts, not the active parts that actually do the shooting. The idea that you can make the internals out of plastic is ridiculous. Especially since the plastic from those printers isn't the most durable.

Not looking forward to people actually trying this and having cheap plastic AR15's blowing up in their face.

I call BS.

Note: It may be believable if there are a bunch pieces inside that are made of metal and not printed, in which case it's just a custom built AR-15 with a cheap plastic casing. I wouldn't trust it - but it's still fairly impressive if true.

That said, the pictures suck and there's no video, so...

-The guy printed a receiver. Not an entire AR-15. If you think you can make an entire AR-15 out of $30 of plastic I have a bridge to sell you. Typical national review reporting.
-What the fuck does this have to do with Obama? He hasn't done anything to affect accessibility to firearms. Unless you count being in office so the NRA and firearm companies can fearmonger and cause the price of ammo to shoot through the roof as people start hoarding cause the "leftists gon' take my guns".

Better question. Would your average gang banger know geometry? lols. I'm sure they could possibly print out a gun, since the cartel has submarines. It's just that it would be done by some one higher up. The materials used to make the gun would be a completely different story though. I mean it's one thing to make a gun out of a high quality metal, and it's another thing to make a gun out of plastic.

You can find torrents for blue prints to make UZI's, if you know how to do basic welding. From my experience, it costs about $100 to make one, and you can resell them for about $300-500 if it's semi auto, and 5k+ if it's fully auto. If it's fully auto, know that it's illegal to own, so it's a lot easier to make the person the parts for converting it to be fully automatic.
