Well i was having a great time in the house and all the sudden 1 day in advanced i get told we are going to have a foreign exchange student from japan in our house. Thought it was going to be boring with him in the house but he is a alright guy and its fun to play games with him. He wants to get his 12 year old sister something and bring it back to her from the United States.
He is to poor to buy anything so i would like to ask for suggestions on what to buy a 12 year old japanese girl from the USA.

You should get her something that she'd only be able to get in the US. Not something too flashy or expensive, since if you're like me you're a cheap bastard, but something she'll use. I personally would recommend a subscription to some American teen girl magazine (if it ships to japan and she speaks english), but another option would be an iconic shirt from your area, like an "I <3 NY" shirt or something that's recognizable and will be enjoyed.

A 12 year old Japanese girl is probably not going to speak English^^
An I <3 NY shirt like was mentioned above
or anything little and cute like those straps you attach to your phone, or a pencil case or purse or something.
Or maybe some kind of candy/snack that you can only get in America

Why don't you ask him what she'd like? Trying to pick out something for someone you don't know is going to be hard, unless you want to just throw a dart in a random tourist shop. Well, I mean pick something at random. Don't literally throw darts in shops unless that's called for, like maybe some kind of pub with a dart board or something but even then only throw it safely at the board.

Ohhhhh okay a gift for a sister! Okay so ummm this was totally not what I had in mind but hey oh hmmm you could get her the typical "I <3 NY" shirts, very American and tourist-friendly gift. Or maybe like a historic figurine (mini statue of liberty)?

Lol its pretty simple, get her a bag/hat or article of clothing that you can only get in the U.S. like a purse or something. Everything here is made in china anyways, alternatively you could buy her a shotglass for her upcoming alcohol addiction as a 15 year old :D. Seriously though, get her a culture specific thing from your area, whatever you do best their that is girly, some places its shells, some places (where I live) its daisy dukes and sweet tea lol, she will enjoy anything that is foreign its how people are.

BTW: as a somewhat perverted suggestion, a victoria's secret trainer bra or bra in general might not be a terrible idea for a troll gift, especially if its like a 36 DD bra for a 12 year old, then again I'd never do that for my sis LOL. not sayin, just sayin
