I can't be the only one who watches this show. It's just consistantly awesome, and often inspiring. Am I truly the only one? Is anyone watching this current season?
This season, finally, they passed everyone I wanted them to pass. They cut everyone I hoped they would. Even though in a few instances I think, talent wise, it was the wrong move to make. Before I go on and on about something noone else cares about, am I alone here?
In my incessant quest to turn people onto this show, here are some auditions from this season. These are just the auditions, and none of them actually made the show. They have some incredible shit going on. Here's some highlights from a recent episode that I guarantee will surprise you, impress you, or simply turn you on.

I watch this show frequently with my parents. As a frequenter of professional ballets and the brother of a professional ballet student, I'm usually not too impressed with it. In my opinion, most of the contemporary, modern and ballet dances are very lacklustre.. The hip-hop is usually fun to watch, also anything to dubstep/electronic in terms of crumping etc., is very enjoyable, even though I find it rather skill-less in comparison to other dance forms. And I find myself almost always disagreeing with what the judges have to say, except for Nigel, who really knows his shit.
But I respect you for enjoying dance, as it's an art form that I find is losing ground (at least in my area). I love dance. Especially ballet.
I used to be able to just get really drunk and some simple footwork and freezes to impress people, now everyone knows the bboy scene and think its way easy and I have to not drink as much and try so much harder. xD
Leroy didn't move on? The judges said he was an amazing person, and didn't even comment on why his dance failed.
I was so ready to marvel at how people like that make me have faith in humanity again... and I thought his dance was awesome... and then the judges just silently shat on the reason why he was there in the first place -______-'
EDIT: And then Brittany passed? She was boring as hell x.x

Heh I don't follow the American version, although I don't really follow the Aus version either, I just know that there is a shit load of bboys (espec power bboys) that make it through the initial rounds.
That's surprising because Legacy isn't exactly the most spectacular, but he is probably one of the most all rounded bboy's ever, very clean footwork/power/freezes solid foundation, no surprise considering he used to be in rock steady crew.

Yeah, that's the thing. There are tons of people who are absolutely amazing in their unique discipline/style but the show is really looking for someone who can excel in lots of genres. Kind of a shame to see someone very talented not be able to do others but I guess it's a necessity - how else are you going to compare an amazing ballroom dancer to an amazing hip hopper or whatever.
right. the idea is for someone who can impress in everything. Which follows into Legacy not being the best. Totally wasnt. But how many bboys can crush contemporary like he can? damnnnn
I love this show, my favourite are when they have the dancers do something totally different. Like bboys doing ballroom or ballroom dancers doing hip hop.
The katee and twitch season was my favourite to watch. I still continue to watch but the others seasons haven't blown me away as much as their season. It felt like the top 6 dancers could have won their own season if they competed separately.
This season I'm rooting for both ballroom girls and cyrus, his style is so awesome and his story is so inspirational.

dancing is more than just movements and shit you should paint a picture and match the music at times too and its execution leroy didnt have that, brittany did

It's reality TV Leroy is fat. Brittany is sexy. Are you actually looking for the best dancer when you watch this show?

I thought Hampton Williams's audition was amazing. Something about his style is just so grabbing.
Why are so many people surprised that Leroy Martinez did not make it past the choreography round? I thought his audition was great fun, but it was clear that his technical ability would not be high enough to continue in the later rounds of the competition.

for hiphop, i thought he nailed it really. I didn't think as many people would connect with Hamptons audition, im surprised and a little delighted.

He's pretty good, but he's average when compared to other poppers. (not trying to be a spoilsport just sayin )
