Ok so as a Kid living in Seattle/Lynnwood WA and as a bronze level Zerg player... i am quite bummed that there are NO widely known sc2 events hosted in Seattle I dont really see why there isnt i mean Seattle is quite a big and well known city.
I have always though of a LG Seattle or some sort of Big SC2 even such as IPL or something hosted in Seattle, but that could just be me and my little cheap ass not willing to fly out to anaheim and etc. but yeah hoping someone gets this to blizz and other thingys and stuff and hopefully get a hge sc2 or some form of pro gaming event in seattle...perhaps some sort of Emerald City League XD
I l ike chicken...and pudding...YEAH KITTENS

You do know that barcraft was started in Seattle right?
|
Seattle had WCG Grand Finals 2007, so you already got your share of e-Sport for years.

Probably too young to go to a Barcraft.

tell that to california
To the op. I'm not sure if there still doing this but if you live close to the u-district, the microsoft store holds a tournament on friday every other week or so. Also game clucks holds something like that to.
Nothing major but still quite a bit of fun to play in.

holy crap my school is next to u district..but the store ur thinkin of is at u village

As was mentioned, WCG in 2007, and even though it may not be sc2, valve are going to host the dota 2 international which is BY FAR the largest dota 2 tournament of all time with a prize pool of over 2 million USD, in seattle.
So yeah, it's not sc2, but you can't have everything. My town has never, and more than likely will never host any kind of esport event, so be happy with what you have.

I agree with you, im from Seattle and like no events or even small ones that I can find.

I'm from Seattle as well.
There's a pretty great starcraft community in seattle, I don't know what you're talking about. We have Barcraft at Chao Bistro bar at capital hill every wednesday and sunday, UW's CSL team got to the grand finals of CSL recently, like some other people have said the Microsoft store at university village hosts a tournament every other friday with about 16 people every time - I'm a regular at that- and gameclucks hosts a big tournament every month. We have team Light living in seattle with Kawaiirice, Caliber, and Golden on it, and we have a big Seattle Starcraft Community facebook group for everybody in the seattle area (https://www.facebook.com/groups/133709313379788/).
There's plenty of stuff happening in seattle. We have Pax happening this summer too, and if you're into Dota 2, The International is going to happen in August (a million dollar dota tournament sponsored by Valve).

You should go to GameClucks in Lynwood. It's no MLG but it has some pretty good people and it gives you a chance to play in your own Bronze/Silver division!

I went to gameclucks once and only 3 people showed up...including me.
I won the massive prize pot of 20 bucks and paid for my gas.
