Sainte Trinite otherwise known as Big 3 Dragons is a pretty good skill toi have when you are Delegating with your friends.

As the first person in the TLNY Mahjong Circle to get a Sainte Trinite hand let me show you how you too can channel the Pope in you.
To be honest I was -65 on the ladder when the game started. This is how I felt during the early game.

So how do you channel the Pope in you? Just do 3 things
1.Man shall not live on Pong alone

FYI I always live on pong alone, Always Pong never not Pong. Pong Palace all day Everyday. The pope lies. When you can Pong just pong. Pong is never a bad thing.
2.Betaori, (when in doubt play for Draw)

Frankly I never play for a draw, I always play to win, and that's a stupid thing to do and kicks me in the negatives pretty often. Damn ZoW and his Yakumans. Never play for Draws, But that's because I am one stubborn guy.
3.Et in Terra Pax PINFU (Peace on earth baby!)

Yes PINFU the PINFU we all know come to love, Them damned PINFU, the 2point PINFU hand that ruins your day! Bringing Peace out to your 10 point hands since Phelix ever got his hands on that North Wind tile.
Although I actually only pinfu'ed once during that entire game, since PONG PALACE BABY!!!!
So now you need to start off with a decent hand, I had something like
4man 4man 4man White White Green Green Red North and other trash tiles. Draw that Red Dragon and Start ponging. Who says man shall not live on Pong alone? I LIVE ON PONG ALONE!
After getting tempai, Thanks to living on pongs. I get something like this.

You can practically feel the North wind start to pick up (even though you're indoors lol). "The North Wind blows, this will be the final round," That North tile, it will come. Frankly I was lucky, there was already a discarded North, I have one myself. Chances are someone will discard one thinking the tile was safe. It was perfect, Now just wait for Phelix's signature

Only playing vs computers so far (4WindsMahJong), but I did get an All Green already. Pon Hand too, if only that made a difference... (Kan of 3s, Pon of 4s, 8s and Green Dragons, Pair of 6s). Never even close to 3 Big Dragons tho 
And then there is this Helen Bot, owning me with a Hidden Treasure. Including a Concealed Kan.

my parents + brother knows how to play
but my brother hates mahjojng
my parents... only play the Chinese one they grew up with (the one with season tiles)... and well I watched saki so I like riichi mahjong more
I dled like janryuumon onto my computer+itouch but I mainly just play vs cpu on the itouch + play http://www.gamedesign.jp/flash/mahjong/mahjong_e.html on the computer... I can technically play on tenhou but I'm so bad I think that there would be no point D:

I found it quite interesting that Helen Bot Rinshan Kaihou'd into a Pon Hand though. Considering your blog is all about Pon everywhere.
How many games do you guys play by the way? Total, per (some timeframe)?

It has like 20 predefined rulesets, including Japanese Modern aka Riichi Mahjong.

9 Gates are probably one of the hardest to get because it's an all concealed hand. And you get screwed over really easily

We usually do it either every week or every other week, but since it's summer we're missing members to play.
