I had the privilege of being able to cover the IGN Proleague Season 4 and GOMtv Team League Finals held this past weekend at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada. The following is part one of my photo coverage of the event.

Acknowledgments and Afterword

Thanks to Alex Conn, David Ting, and the rest of the IPL as well as GSL staff who put together such an impressive event this past weekend. Thanks also to the progamers and event staff who humored me (and, by extension, Pholon) by letting me take a photo of them holding an "I <3 Liquipedia" sign.

I'll be at the upcoming MLG Anaheim, and I hope to see many of the same faces I was glad to meet this past weekend over there as well.

Pretty pictures. That guy with the race logo tattoos is hardcore.

Pretty sure it was just either marker or henna, but I never asked him lol

EDIT: Confused by the fact that I took a photo of a guy with a huge Zerg logo on his face. Now I realize who you are talking about.

Nice photos! I messed up a lot of mine by trying to avoid having to use ISO 1600 which is really noisy on my camera. I thought I could handhold at the slow shutter speeds with IS, but subject motion blur made a lot of my shots unusable.

You can invest in a monopod to steady your shots. Doesn't have to be an expensive one, unless you need a pan/tilt video head and it is way more portable than a tripod.

If it's mostly subject motion blur though, you could also resort to using a flash but at ESPORTS events that is really only OK during finals ceremonies.

It's a real tattoo. He's also got "WASD" and mouse buttons on his legs. Along with "1337". Sweet photos man, wish I didn't have the "Holy crap i'm taking pictures with a pro" look in the Liquipedia sign ones.
