EPTTL;DR* (Blog is gonna be totally I <3 TL FYI) **Very rambly, very long, some very obvious stuff**
I literally come here everyday now and read so much about all sorts of topics. There are so many hidden gems in this forum and everyday it just makes me happy to read through the most random things you can find.
There are so many interesting and knowledgeable people and even though I don't interact with them directly, I know so many peoples sigs and tendencies simply by reading through their posts or blogs. I kind of think Teamliquid is so good because it doesn't have as many a**es as you get on every single other forum I've been on in my life. The mods are great, the members are great (for the most part) and Starcraft is great so this place just feels right.
I enjoy the odd game of Starcraft now and then but I don't know when the timing was when it was more Teamliquid than starcraft for me but now I could go a month not playing Starcraft and barely a week not going on teamliquid (and thats at a stretch).
I decided I would list of a few of my favourite places or things on TL, because whey-hey its a blog about how awesome TL is!
-Funny picture thread
This thread is probably the reason I started frequenting on teamliquid but day by day I'm reading more and more and the next thing you know you're speding your lectures browsing through the forums non stop reading news, looking at streams, looking at discussion, debates, funnies and the rest. I love it.
-Anything featuring HotBid, or an assortment of other higher-ups in TL who I actually think are brilliant and hilarious and fun and great and awesome all rolled in to one word - "brilariouneatsome". You can really see anyone who gets a position in TL whether its writing mod etc, is deserving of it because they're just awesome.
-The AMA staff thread. You just get some random question with a reply from a mod linking to a 4 year (but relevant) thread that you would have never seen other than their brilliance to link it even though it was the 147th post on a thread that didn't mean much to them.
-TV show threads- much better for discussing shows than with many of my friends who just DO NOT UNDERSTAND the show aka Game of Thrones... I don't really post much so I just either agree or disagree with alot of opinions, but its nice when someone points out something that you missed at a certain second at mutiple times in multiple shows. Its good.
-The banlist. This is awesome and the continued effort by all the mods keeps TL well and good is appreciated. I love how there's some hilarious and dilussional people who just flame for the sake of it or actually don't realise how pretentious or assholic they are being and get banned from somewhere they shouldn't be.
-Blogs. There are a few regular bloggers who have blogged over the years and its just amazing reading some people real life stories (if they are all real lol) and what they get up to both inside and outside of Starcraft. There are some really interesting people around here and I'm glad that this site was made.
-Featured News. Is just awesome and self explanatory. I especially love when someone puts a huge effort into a thread which goes onto be really appreciated by the TL community.
-Streams. You can just sit there doing that assignment, writing this program, eating that lunch and it just feels right to have a stream open and say "OOOOHHH what a build, what awesome macro, wow how did he survive that all in!" etc etc Streaming is awesome.
Thats it for now... I'll probably add more when I come across it, or if I've forgotten anything major I'll try to update this with some more adoring of this beautiful, beautiful site.
And no I'm not high, I just love TL. Wooo!
