1. I'm in high school, so I don't have much time to practice.
2. I like other games too, so not all my gaming time is SC2.
3. CUSTOM MAPS!
4. I don't expo. (as ZERG!)
5. I watch about 10x as many games as I play.

Solutions?
1. No comment.
2. Weekends: SC2 only.
3. Saturday: Ladder only.
4. My friends can be rather loud, at times.
5. Play more.

I will update this blog Sunday night OR Monday morning EVERY WEEK POSSIBLE with weekend results.

2) Stop playing other games unless they're amazing. There isn't enough time in life to play shitty games.
3) Stop playing custom maps.
4) Expo when he expoes, when you attack, when you harass. You should have at least one more base than your opponent.

1. Dunno where you go to high school at but I always had lots of free time, it's not college...then again I guess it depends on
your school.
2. Fair enough. It's good to get away from SC2 once awhile, this isn't a bad thing.
3. Ok. Maybe instead of spending all the time playing ums maps, you can play some micro maps instead once inawhile. They
can make a big difference in your game over time.
4. That's rather bad. Do you just allin everygame or something? I don't get this. Learn some new builds then, try something new.
5. I used to do be more of a spectator myself but you are ultimately in control of this. Just make it a goal to ladder. Maybe just watch some reps before you start laddering

Do a day9 rule on yourself. Say, "Hey, I'm gonna expand every 5 minutes no matter what the fuck is going on".

The fact is, the game can be downright stressful to play sometimes - at times it's not even fun and its just an exercise in masochism and how long your pride will make you extend your 10 game losing streak before you call it quits....

Basically, don't treat it like some big commitment if you don't feel the inner drive to play that much. Keep it casual. Play when you feel like so that you end up playing against other casuals. You'll have more fun this way. Then when you come across a strategy that looks so ridiculously awesome to use (Genius stargate pressure, HerO WP sentry drop with 6 gates PvZ), but you find that your APM can't handle it, you'll WANT to keep playing to refine it.
Don't force yourself to play 10 games a day. It becomes a chore and eventually you'll find SC2 a boring, stale, stressful game.

Haha i feel the same way bro, I'm IB and its fucking hard at my school considering some of my teachers try to make our class averages a B- so having A's is very, very difficult, so a lot of time goes there. For me more time goes into tennis and my GF than SC2 and thats an issue. Still you know what they say to be as good as flash, you gotta.... look at the unimpressed flash thread

I hate to tell you this but if you ever want to achieve anything in life your free time will only diminish from here. College is more demanding time wise. Work too, at least in a lot of cases and you'll also have other responsibilities at that point. Also you'll be tired all the time. Sorry. I was able to game about 4 h a day back in high school and I don't see any reason why you couldn't do the same unless you have a bunch of extra curricular activities or something. That should be plenty of time to improve (Stephano..). And why is everyone so gung ho about improving anyway. What happened to good clean fun?

best of luck to you. Being in highschool though isn't really something that holds you back... maybe in terms of mentality it might... I know trying to convince my younger players of anything is sometimes like pulling teeth but it can be done! lol

1. I'm in my last year of high school. I am currently maintaining a 90 average in Biology which is by far my hardest course right now and I'm currently in the top 400 of NA (masters)
