lol im not saying that OP made great choices, and in all honesty the story just sounds retarded, but drinking(even drinking A LOT) can be a really fun and social thing.

If alcohol is the basis of your relationships with people, you need to seriously re-evaluate your life. Drinking is a good way to help relax with friends or spice up a meal - it is not a social event in itself. Drinking can be enjoyable, but it is just one element of the culinary experience, and shouldn't be held to a higher standard than something like BBQ cookouts or baking cookies.

Lol I like how nowhere in my post does it say anything close to "alcohol is the basis of my relationships with people" and you come up with that. Also drinking is a social event in itself, or at least a big part of a lot of social events.... ever been to a party? I also have no idea what you're talking about with the BBQ and cookies thing.

Parties are fucking stupid. They're a crutch for people who have no meaningful basis for social interaction.

...... I disagree, as do most people.

@OP Your birthday sounds pretty fun man. But I also wouldve skipped school completely, once you're 18 arent you technically considered your own legal guardian? At least thats the way it is in Ontario. I can also relate to you about how drinking makes you more social and less aware of your conseqences.

So you can write blogs and tell your friends how cool you are and how little you remember the next day. Duh.

Well I've partied a lot and drank even more. Still I agree with the poster you quoted. I dislike partying for the sake of partying. Most people just get drunk because everybody does and so they have something to brag about / tell "cool" stories the next day. I can tell you a few hilarious stories from me partying, but I honestly can't remember a single story where I actually felt good while experiencing it.

Like last friday where after getting wasted on wine & weed I spent about 2 hours in the sub trying to get home (would be 15 mins if i was sober), exiting every odd station to throw up and wait 20 mins for the next train. Fell asleep in between so I at least (can't tell you with certainty) went the whole train line in each direction once before finally getting home. Next day consisted of throwing up and having headache.

You would say that's a pretty funny story, and i would agree, but it's only the story that is funny. Sitting on the station in the cold, having to throw up every few minutes was NOT fun. Being completely wrecked the whole next day wasn't either.
For me at least, partying is not fun. It's something you do from time to time because people expect it. And don't tell me to not get drunk, it makes it even more unbeareable.

Drinking with a few friends at home is fun. Clubs suck

I gave up doing stuff like this like 3 years ago when i blacked out while drinking at a party and A LOT of stuff that my friends to this day still don't want to tell me about happened <.<, so i rather just drink without getting drunk and dont embarrass myself again :D. It's a good tip my friend lol.

Also happy bday man .

I'm also not a big fan of the "club scene" i much prefer to drink with friends at home as well. I also have a ton of funny stories, but I can definitely remember feeling good at the time haha.

You can not like clubs, partying, or drinking at all thats perfectly fine, its not for everyone. But to claim that parties are a crutch for people who lack social interaction is just retarded.

To the OP: I know that not being of legal drinking age makes it seem like a good idea to drink as much as you can swallow before going out, to try to sustain a buzz. Your story, however, tells me a few things.

1) You don't know your limits with respect to alcohol and haven't yet learned to take into account the fact that the effect gets stronger over time as your body absorbs it.

2) You've told a story that has a few bad outcomes in it (including blacking out and memory loss, your mother noticing your drunken behavior, damaging your phone, and being a wreck at school the next day) yet you're minimizing them in your summary of the whole thing.

3) You seem pretty happy about the lack of social inhibition that you get while drinking.

I'm not going to tell you not to drink, but you should seriously consider taking things easier next time. If you're as drunk as you were going by this story, it's noticeable and it's not appealing to women you might run into in clubs. Furthermore, keep an eagle eye on #2, since if that continues over the long run it might be a sign of developing alcohol dependence.

(I should point out that my first experience with alcohol was completely off the hook, and I never took it to the same place again. However, it's doing that kind of thing repeatedly that starts to make it a problem.)

Idk, I was the kind who never drank more than like 1 drink at parties but clubs.. there's something awesome about getting drunk with friends and entering a club. The lights, the loud noises, the dancing, it all becomes kinda surreal from sensory overload. Like being in a crazy painting.
Obviously you need to not be so drunk that you don't remember it or else you can't enjoy it -.-;;

OP, I don't want to say anything negative but just know that your tone/writing style comes off as an attempted (immature) brag blog. I'm sure plenty of us went a bit over our limits the first time being drunk; we know how it feels. ^^
New experiences are always exciting, just be careful sharing them when they are both illegal and self destructive. Not that I'm judging you, my first time clubbing was also quite over the top. But looking back on it now, I would have
1. told less people about it (mind you, my experience was legal too) and
2. drank a bit less.

Sounds like you had a great time though.

The reason people drink heavily at clubs/parties is because they're actually miserable places. Too loud to carry on a conversation, full of people you probably would hate if you met them in your day to day life, and lots of shitty booze that tastes like crap.

But, if you don't remember that you can fill it in with good imaginary memories.

People do that stuff because they want to be accepted socially. I think it's really important OP knows that the kinds of people who find that behavior socially acceptable are also the ones who end up managing Denny's. If you really value looking like a total bro to the manager of Denny's by all means, continue. I won't stop you.

I just did this once for an experience. Definitely not an experience I want to repeat, and also one that I won't forget. I do realize how this comes off to be a complete brag post, and I do apologize I don't mean to be a complete elitist douche. But thanks people for the funny/helpful/criticizing posts and what not, I didn't expect much less. But thank you all anyway. I still look back on it to this day and regret some things, and even my friends told me what else I did considering I blacked out.... a lot that night. ^^

I didn't start getting wasted until I was 21. I'm almost 25 now. I remember 3 really horrible situations that involve alcohol.

#1: Getting whiskey dick with my EX girlfriend.

#2: Blacking out on a toilet in a club while going on a first date with a hot chick.

#3: Being too drunk to grind on this random chick in the club that gave me her lollipop she was sucking on. As I was grinding on her I kept falling on her because I was so fucked up. Eventually she got tired of me falling on her and she left. *FAIL*

Lesson Learned: Drink responsibly... your romantic life will thank you.
