So this a more personal blog than my other ones.Me and my girlfriend of about 9 months broke up probably like 3 months ago. I have seen other girls since but it just feels weird and wrong. Me and this girl talk still. We even hook up sometimes, but she has a boyfriend now and theres no way shes breaking up with him for us to get back together. I know i hated most of the shit about our relationship, but is it weird that i still miss her as much as i do? Is it because i still talk to her and occasionally have sex with her? just thought id look for some advice.

Whats rather distrubing is that she is cheating on her boyfriend with you, so what makes you think she wasnt cheating on you when you two were together? They do it once they are bound to do it again. TIME this shit takes time....

Whats really disturbing is i know she cheated on me... i just assume only physically. Im only 18 still in high school and travel with a pretty, i guess not morally respectable group of kids. Not saying that im a bad kid, im an sc2 nerd and dont try to cause trouble, but what im saying is that ive yet to have a relationship with a girl i find apealing to me that hasnt been a cheater. Im not sure how much that really bothers me :/

This is an important thing to think about.

Also, even if you're not really her boyfriend anymore, you're still sexually/ emotionally attached to her via sex. If you actually want to get over her, you need to stop being intimate with her. Honestly, even being friends probably won't work out, although you can still be naive and pretend like it will and still tell her *you can still be friends*. But you're not going to get over someone who you committed a lot of time and effort and are still seeing on the side.

If there's no chance of you guys getting back together, you honestly need to try and cut off the ties with her (for now, at least) and move on, completely. Maybe later on down the road, you can attempt to be platonic. But what you're doing right now is not going to allow the healing process to ever occur.

I wouldn't worry too much about that. It'll come eventually. You can fish for a while and test kind of what you want or don't want in a relationship until later.

When you found out she was cheating on you how did you feel? Now think that someone else is feeling that way if he finds out about you. I think you need to drop her and move on. I know 9 months seems like a LONG time when you are young but trust me, you'll find someone else. Sure keep being friends and keep up the talk, but keep it above the belt champ

Listen, most of us older kids have been in that spot. Like others have said, if theres no chance to get back with her you really should cut ties or you're going to stay emotionally attached and it will be really hard to move on. Try to take this is a stepping stone. Each relationship teaches you more and more about what you want from somebody, and more importantly teaches you how to treat people better. Keep your chin up and look to the future and try to find a healthier relationship with a girl who you believe isn't going to be cheating on you for once. If all else fails, just focus on yourself for while, you're very young no need to rush these things.

i know this isn't true about everyone but from my experience: every couple that i knew who married before graduation (from college) or within 1 year of graduation eventually got a divorce. the fact is that people change a lot at such a young age even if you're a "perfect" fit now, you most likely won't be any fit in 5 years. it doesn't matter how much you like this girl. chances are even if you did get back with her, it would not end right and you'd feel even worse than before because you wasted so much extra time on her. i know this doesn't really relate to you but i think it's a good concept to think about.

you guys dated, you are broken up, move on. it didn't work out for a reason, whatever it was. stop wasting your time on this girl when you could be spending it elsewhere (developing new relationships, not just with girls but in making new friends in general). this is especially true given the fact that she a. cheated on you and b. is cheating on her bf. this girl is a (pardon my french) b**ch and clearly doesn't give a s**t about anyone but herself. I know a lot of girls who "get around" and you know what, it's not a big deal. it's not attractive but if that's what they want to do that's fine because there's a difference between getting around when you're single and committing to a relationship, and then completely ignoring your responsibilities in the relationship. if you want to be happy you'll force yourself to get over this girl.

Finally: Sex never helps getting over someone. i had an ex who i hooked up with for 2 years after we broke up and it was terrible. i would get over her for a while and then come home for spring break, have sex with her, and then be obsessed with her again and not stop thinking about her for months. it was terrible. some people can have sex with their ex's and not think about it again but if you're so attached to this girl i think the best thing to do (to get over her) would be to stop seeing her altogether.

Still pretty young, and it sounds like both (all) of you need to mature. It comes with time, but just be mindful that not caring about cheating (victim or offender) may lead to relationship problems down the road. Being faithful is an admirable and uncommon quality, and finding someone loyal while you yourself is loyal can be quite awesome.

everyone thinks there in love at 18 with the person they date... let me just say i still talk to the girl I went out with at 18 and me and her still hook up lol. The point is me and her knew we couldn't have a relationship we was too different however hooking up and so forth can still be in the mix. Just gotta go with the flow and wait some girl will come and u will fall head over heals in love and be happy man. Till then have fun fuck bitches get high and drink lol your to young for " love " my friend these times are the times to do whatever the hell you want. Before life gets real and u gotta go to work and gotta pay bills and gotta do the shit you dont want to.

Hi man ive been in a similar thing with a girl before minus the cheating on another guy part lol. It's tough at first just takes time also I have found that most young people are more attracted to the sex then the person themselves. What makes us animals i guess lol.
