* What I'm about to say is not meant to be objective or anything. It is purely my opinions based on my experiences and observations about my world and people around me.
People love to take things for granted. They ABSOLUTELY LOVE to take good stuff in their life for granted, good stuff that many people WISH they had but absolutely have no chance of getting it or no idea of how to get it.
- People who are really rich taking for granted their wealth and being spendthrifts while others are struggling to make ends meet
- People who are good looking but think otherwise.
- People who have awesome parents but don't appreciate them while others wish they had parents.
- People who are popular and have many friends not appreciating the fact that they are loved and respected while others yearn for someone, just someone whom they can hang out with.
- People who are really smart taking their academic results for granted while others struggle just to achieve decent grades.
- Pro-gamers who don't realise the fact that not everyone has the talent to be like them even if they wanted to.
- Guys with hot and awesome girlfriends taking them for granted while not taking into account that there are millions of forever-alones out there in this lonely world.
I could go on and on, but you get my point. I'm not saying that I'm not guilty of any of the above, but at least I've been trying to appreciate the good stuff in my life, even though I can't help being fed up about the stuff I don't have; I don't have good looks, I'm not athletic, I have just above-average intelligence, my parents sucks, I'm not popular and certainly not good with people, let alone having a girlfriend. Hell, I can't even get into SC2 masters even after 2k+ 1v1 ladder games played. Guess what? Life probably sucks for me now, but if I can make the effort to appreciate what little good stuff that I have, I don't see why everyone around me, most of whom I'm pretty sure are better off than me, can't do the same.
So to those who have pretty much everything going for them in their lives, stop being a bitch and stop whining about how life's not 10/10 perfect because you're not only making yourself seem like an asshole by doing that but you're also irritating and insulting those around you who are not as lucky as you are.

I don't completely disagree with you, there are people who act like you describe to subtly brag. However, I can do this too:
- People who have the luxury of writing blogs on the internet rather than starving to death and still complain about life.
Suffering is relative, your definition of the quality of other peoples' lives doesn't determine how they feel. Why is 'better off than [you]' the dividing line? You're not the center of the world, and not everyone sees themselves as competing with you - a GM isn't going to look at you and think 'wow, I'm gosu', he's going to look at Code S players and see how weak his play is.

there are people with your exact problems. no one in the world is rich good looking intelligent good at sc2 has great parents blah blah blah. some of the things you can power through. ur just irrationally placing blame on people.

The first step towards solving all your problems, is to take action.
Good looks are earned, through taking time to style yourself and observe hygiene.
Someone who can study will surpass even the most intelligent person who can't.
Getting a gf is surprisingly easy, get out there, meet people.
etc etc apply it to the rest of the things you want to fix.

It's true, and while I repect the OP for bringing this up, my advise would be to just motherfucking take some things for granted. Hell, take as much as possible for granted. Why? The attitude you described will sooner or later bite you in the ass. I was guilty of quite a share of those back when I was in my early twenties and it just made me waste a good chunk of my youth on being a petty little asshole.
Having learned to appreciate what I've got while at the same time learning to ignore what people who aren't my family or friends think about any part of my lifestyle was the best personal development I ever made.
That and kickboxing ^_^

Ok a couple things:
First of all, you''re right, its human nature to take for granted what you have. But once you're aware of it, you can really make strides towards being more content.
I'm good looking, but not devastatingly so. I have a GREAT wife-pretty, interesting, smart, funny, great with people-the whole package, and I find myself sometimes yearning for the single days when I could meet a girl and get lucky and it would be such an awesome feeling. My parents are fantastic, and though not rich, well off. And I find myself wishing "man I wish my brother wasn't so messed up". I have a lot of friends everywhere, but not like in the high school or college days when I was literally surrounded by tons of them every single day.
You see where I'm going with this. It's easy to sound like a complete ingrate, even to yourself. Enjoy what you have AND
Second of all: Grow! I wanted to look better so I joined the gym (there's a FANTASTIC series of threads of instruction and motivation on TL by eschlow). I want more friends so I go out and meet people as often as I can. I try and emulate those things I admire about my friends rather than envy them.
You can ALWAYS get better at something, even looks. (Gym/diet/good haircut/good clothes can almost literally transform you into a new, better looking, more confident person). Don't think what you have now is as good as it will ever get. Be happy with the good, and WORK towards changing what you think should be improved.

wana know what else? stupid people dont know they are stupid and when you try to explain to them they are making things complicated and try to tell them to just stfu and let smart ppl talk they dont even understand what you are saying because they are STUPID.
THHHHHHHHHEN the stupid people go and run for office or positions of power and other stupid people vote for them because stupid people are allowed to vote. CRAZY RIGHT? no its law
now we have stupid people in positions of power and influence and because they can influence other stupid people to join them in stupid endeavors theres more of them!!
so now a pack of stupid people exist and you are outnumbered. stupid people are just as strong as you so you cant physically stop them from being stupid plus more exist, and you cant kill stupid people because its against the law
now there are so many stupid people you cant be heard because guess what, stupid people can also talk as loud as you!!
