Some weeks ago Dailyesports started this series on Korean Special Force 2 team hostels/practice houses called "Sookso Attack". Basically, each week, reporter Lee Sora pays a surprise visit to one team's hostel and provides us with pictures and insights on their living conditions. Some of the pictures are amusing so I thought I'd share them with you. So far, she's visited the hostels of IT Bank, STX Soul, SKT and KT Rolster.
IT Bank Legend
IT Bank's team lives at an officetel in Ilsan. When Lee Sora arrived there, she found it surprisingly clean and tidy for an all guys hostel.
STX Soul
When Lee Sora arrived at the STX hostel, the players were still sleeping. She was shocked at the appearance of star sniper Ryu Je Hong (the former Lunatic-hai counter-strike player), with his helmet hair and sloppy trousers, who looked a far cry from his charismatic self during broadcasts.
SKT T1
SKT are currently the undisputed best team in the SF2 Proleague. They went on a 23-set winning streak before being taken down by QSENN. In order to catch the players in their most candid moments, Lee Sora deliberately didn't inform them what time she would be visiting their hostel.
KT Rolster
By the time it came to KT Rolster's turn, Coach Lee had already seen the previous 3 Sookso Attacks and asked Lee Sora what kind of concept she was after this time. He pondered about whether the KT players should present a neat or "naked" appearance. In the end, he told Lee Sora not to tell his players what time she would be visiting them. lol
Unlike the previous 3 teams, KT's hostel is separate from their practice rooms.
The gaming house environment looks pretty much the same as the one in a starcraft pro gaming house . Thanks for the info anyway ryo . Can't wait for skt and kt hostel pictures to be uploaded.

8 teams. Not nearly as big as SC1, but it's well supported by Kespa. It's a CJ E&M game after all.
SF2 is massively popular. It's the most played game in PC Bangs ( by metrics, it's around 15%, BW is around 5% ) Aion - the most popular mmo in korea is only around 12%.

No wayyy... Not compared to the video footage from Artosis and Hyungjoon anyway... These photo's look a little like the environment T8 is having to deal with right now (or at least the photos of it from the beginning of the season).
Interesting pictures anyway! Looks like some of them 'dream to ride the white horse' as Rekrul eloquently once put it...

No wayyy... Not compared to the video footage from Artosis and Hyungjoon anyway... These photo's look a little like the environment T8 is having to deal with right now (or at least the photos of it from the beginning of the season).

Yeah, what I mean is just having a dedicated and sterile kind of work room. This looks like you can see the kitchen/living space and other random distractions during practice.

Hmm... that was probably why Coach Park wanted a separate living and practice place for T1 when he first took over.
Hey thanks for this. Me and a friend of mine are former semi-professional FPS gamers and we've been breaking into Special Forces 2 using our own KSSNs, we've even been able to play against some of these teams and get some pretty good scores against them on ladder considering our ping & experience (6:4 to CJ Entus, example). I personally - being a Korean fanatic - have always wondered whether SF2 teams in S.Korea had the same kind of housing system that Brood War teams had, I wouldn't of known this otherwise for this blog.

SPL stream it on youtube and upload it to their youtube channel.
You've also got players who stream on that korean streaming website, afreeca. I can't talk much on that however - I've never been able to connect to the website.
