Hey all!
I was kinda inspired by another blogger who posts about Food Porn, haha.. Well that person cooks way better food than I do. I don't really cook; I just .. throw stuff in a pan. Anyway; Here are a couple of ideas I use for a healthy protein breakfast!
I love the classic eggs, bacon, home fries kinda breakfast and also the McDonalds kinda English Muffin breakfasts.. but I was wondering.. how can I have things like those but at the same time be healthy..?
I came up with these!
![[image loading]](http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/429848_10150691637017112_569932111_11241211_1614717300_n.jpg)
Egg Whites Chicken Bacon Sweet Potatoes (Pan Cooked with Olive Oil, Salt & Peppers, Garlic and Onions)
secondly..

Whole Wheat English Muffins Egg Whites Chicken Bacon 95% Fat Free Cream Cheese
..
They were delicious and I've used these meals for a while now and with other healthy meals and a regular exercise plan; I've gone from 25% Body fat down to 13-14%.
Healthy and delicious guys!!!

Lol; it tastes a bit weird too.. but you get used to it.
Chicken bacon has much less fat and still retains a lot of protein.
Actually.. if you can find it.. and if you can stand the taste; I recommend Turkey Bacon instead.
Depending on which company you find in the supermarket. Turkey Bacon has up to like 14g of protein in 1 serving with 0 carbs and 0.5% Fat
The chicken bacon I use has around 3% per 2 slices.
But it's alright; the results still came!! =D

i wish i eat breakfast more then five times a year lolol. very nice stuff!!!
|
how did you get bacon from a chicken?
|
Chicken bacon.
What is this madness?
Breakfast looks tasty though.

Just use the whole egg damnit, especially if you just throw away the yolk...
Stop the waste.

I wonder why north americans have such carboidrate heavy breakfasts, usually here we only eat a cracker or bread and butter lol with coffee.
|
|

You realize crackers and bread are carbohydrates, right?
|
|
Not nearly enough bacon. Not even close to enough.
|
That's a pretty big breakfast, oatmeal with chopped apple or banana serves me just fine. And I lift 0_o
|
I've never heard of chicken bacon before... but I've heard of turkey bacon. Are there any benefits of chicken bacon compared to turkey bacon?
As for a healthy breakfast, I go with a fried egg, a banana, and some orange juice.
|
So hungry right now ...
Chicken bacon sounds awesome
|
Those look absolutely delicious

Ohh~~
I spread my meals throughout the day.. I eat 5-6 times..
I eat my fruits about an hour to 1.5 hours after I eat breakfast.
Also; someone mentioned something about carb heavy breakfasts for North Americans.. I can't speak for everyone but for myself; I'm doing a lot of athletic training and need the carbs early in the day for my morning cardiovascular workouts;
People can determine how much carbs they "need" by simple trial and error.
Lower your carb intake and workout; Once you start getting weak/cranky/can't finish your workouts.. then slowly add a serving of carbs to your daily meals.
Once you improve; stick around the carb intake until you start to crash again.
Eventually you'll need to multiply your carb intake by almost 3x for more intensive and advanced training and as your body starts to just burn away calories from the muscle you've built over the course of your fitness routine whatever it may be.

wow two of them? that's a bit much. also it looks soo dry

You can buy them in cartons. Where it's just Egg White liquid inside;

I use turkey bacon most everyday and love it, but I will never get rid of my egg yokes, to damn delicious!
|
Chicken bacon? Never seen it before. I might get some, cuz that looks good.
My standard breakfast is just a piece of fruit on the way out.
|
I had two bowls of Hot and Spicy noodles for breakfast. It was loaded with sodium >,< but it was 2 bowls for a dollar at the store so I bought em cause I'm cheap.
Usually I eat a bowl of cereal or a ham sandwich with 9-grain bread (40 calories per slice of bread)

Wait you get to eat 2 of the Egg Mcmuffin looking things?!?!?!?!

Excellent. I really need to start cooking breakfast for myself again. However, I'm incredibly disappointed at the lack of real bacon and the presence of a substitute. :[.

Yup! It depends on what fitness goal you're trying to reach..
If you're aiming to lose body fat; then I suggest you hold off on it until you reach your desired body fat. But once you start training more often and the regime gets harder; you're gonna need those carbs, protein, and calories to get through the workouts and more importantly, your daily life which could include 10 hour work days or playing recreational sports with friends, etc.
It all depends though. What may work for me, may not work for everyone since we all have different goals and genetics. But these are just 2 small ideas that you can work with I think..
Just a simple breakfast =D
|
How many cals/g protein in those breakfasts??
|
Why did I click. I'm so hungry now
Chicken bacon sounds really interesting....hm.

Eggs and bacon are perfectly healthy.
That being said, I would absolutely DESTROY either of those two meals. Wow they look good.
