So, feeling pretty down about how had my skills (feeble as they were) had atrophied over the 14 weeks I took off for surgery. So decided to try to end the night on an up note. Went over what I know about builds and meta in my head, hit the rando custom queue again and decided to just play 1 as hard as I could and no matter the outcome, that's fine because I can look at the replay as see where I need to go.

Game started off rough with some stupid mistakes, but lo and behold the first push comes and I hold it! Barely...but it's a start. So I keep on plugging, keep trying to feel out the opponent and make things happen. I score a few lucky shots on the harass and I'm looking ok for the final battle...and it comes...

And I WIN. What the heck?

So, I check the guy's league. Diamond, last season Masters, season before, Masters...

How did I beat this guy??

So, here's the replay. I know I made some bonehead mistakes in the beginning (and possibly later?), but how did I win this game? Was I doing something right? Was I doing something wrong? Is this guy really playing at a Diamond/Master level, or do you think it was his little brother playing on his account or something?

It's just one game but it's nice.

It's you vs another player, both going after victory. He might have had a bad game. Or you played well. Or a mixture of these. If you can't tell, then you have a valuable information about your understanding of the game.
