Real quick blog here :D
So I have finals. Grades aren't the best, but not terrible. I managed to stabilize, and I will do reasonably in all classes.
So at this point I'm looking to use my national merit finalist (no rejection letter yet --> I'm in) status to get full tuition at Northeastern. It's a fairly good school, I'd like to be not on the west coast (it fits those criteria). It has the coop program, which seems to be a positive thing, and best of all with full tuition it would only be cost of living =D
However, seeing as not a ton of people attended, and relatively few are on the west coast (where I go) I'm just curious what anybody thinks of northeastern.
So here we are
1) How is Northeastern campus? (anybody in boston area that has seen....) 2) If you went how is it? 3) Anything else I should know?
At this point, assuming I get in (extraordinarily likely), and nothing stupid happens with national merit, and it's good when I visit, I might be heading off to NEU!!

1. The campus is very nice, with lots of old buildings, trees and stuff, its also next to Lake Michigan, but it can get REAL cold and windy in the winter. In the coldest days I usually skip my class if the class size is huge and no attendent is taken XD.
2. I am from HK so I got no financial aid or stuff like that, so its expensive! I cannot really tell you how it is from an american persepctive, but I can tell you that I love it and I made a lot of good friends there. I am not those drinking types so I cannot tell you much about their parties and other "events" going on in the frat houses.
3. You can change your major, doubling major or even triple major. Its not difficult to switch and the dean is usually very nice and willing to help. Find your interest there and go for it! This might be the best part of the school.
*** Sorry for my bad English, I did way better when I was in NU! lol

Lake Michigan? Um, are you sure you're not thinking of NorthWestern? NorthEastern university is in Boston.

My cousin goes to Northeastern, and I believe she really likes it, even though she was kinda pressured to go there. She mentioned that she took the coursework lightly at first which was a mistake, I guess even though its not a super high "name brand" school it's not easy.
One of the advantages it has is that it's so close to Harvard, so if Northeastern doesn't have something you want, extracurricular-wise, perhaps you can find it at Harvard (my cousin's in a Harvard acapella group).
Good luck with finals!
